Musée Rodin Private Guided Tour - an artist's insight

Description
Let’s slow down, forget about the crowds and queues elsewhere. This is a jewel among the museums of Paris, it’s rarely overcrowded. One man’s life and passion is housed in this space. We meet at the entrance gate, and then spend two hours exploring the collection. The museum was once his home and studio. It was bequeathed to the nation to display his own remarkable art and the art of others he loved and collected. His complicated love life is evident in the art, the ménage à trois of Rodin, Rose & Camille is just one thread that I will explore during our time together. He created a revolution in sculpture equivalent to what Monet and his friends were doing with paint. I will explain why his art is still relevant to us today. Museum Tickets are NOT included in the price, they can be obtained at the rodin.fr website, or at the entrance hallway (15€). I’m an Irish artist & specialist decorator. I’m also now, for the past 10 years, a Paris Museum Guide.

Damien,my tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting by narrating stories about Rodin and made it fun.Anyone thinking of visiting Paris and planning to do any museum tours should get in touch with him.
Our tour guide, Damien, was excellent! I was so engaged in listening to him that I failed to take any photos! It helps to have at least a rudimentary knowledge of Rodin and the time period; if you don’t have that much interest before visiting the museum you will have a hard time keeping up. The headsets were very helpful for staying focused on Damien’s quiet Irish voice in an otherwise noisy environment. Highly recommend!
