Itinerary
Board the Tokaido Shinkansen (ordinary car, reserved seating) and head to Mishima. While reserved seating will be provided for the outbound Shinkansen transfer, non-reserved seating may be provided depending on congestion conditions.
Arrive at Mishima Station and transfer to the Hokusai Special Train for a scenic ride toward Fujinomiya Station. Be immersed in the worldview of Katsushika Hokusai, who was famous for his ukiyo-e woodblock prints. Enjoy stopping for photos and slow driving at spots depicted in the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. Look forward to learning a lot about Katsushika Hokusai through talks about his woodblock print series, the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.
Enjoy the scenic views of Mt. Fuji from the train window as you travel to Fujinomiya Station.
Arrive at Fujinomiya Station and transfer to a Wi-Fiequipped, air-conditioned bus heading to Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre, Shizuoka. At the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre, Shizuoka, gain a deeper insight into Mt. Fuji's history and faith. Enjoy stunning 4K theater screenings of the impressive Mt. Fuji held every 15 minutes.
Visit the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine, the center of Mt. Fuji worship. This is the head shrine of Sengen shrines in the country, and has long been worshipped for quelling the eruptions of Mt. Fuji. Feel revitalized at this shrine, where Sengoku warlords Takeda Shingen and Tokugawa Ieyasu also worshipped.
Take in the sight of Shiraito Falls, a beautiful scenery woven by water as snowmelt from Mt. Fuji gushes out from the cliffs.
The powerful Otodome Falls, where a large amount of water forms columns cascading with a reverberating sound. Enjoy the contrast between these two waterfalls, which have completely different characters.
The bus will pass through the foothills of Mt. Fuji. Enjoy the scenery from the bus window.
For lunch, select from four options: Japanese-style meal, vegetarian meal, Muslim-friendly meal, and Indian thali meal with tea or coffee.

I really enjoyed this tour. It was very well organized and offered a unique combination of nature, culture, and local experiences. The itinerary included the Shinkansen, the Hokusai Special Train, Shiraito Falls, Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine, and a fun wasabi farm experience. Our guide Sunny was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. I also appreciated the small group size, which made the tour more comfortable, and the different lunch options available. I would especially recommend this tour to repeat visitors to Japan looking for something different from the classic Hakone & Mt. Fuji route.
Fabulous experience with a variety of activities in addition to the bullet train. Highly recommend

This was a wonderful tour! We were surprised that we were the only people on the Hokusai train. Even though we didn’t get to see Mt. Fuji due to cloudy conditions, we had an awesome time riding the train, visiting the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center and Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine, and walking to Shiraito Falls. We especially enjoyed the wasabi farm tour and tasting. That was a truly unique experience! Special thanks to our guide Shige-san. He was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. We’re from Hawaii so we can say Shige-san definitely had the aloha spirit! Mahalo Shige-san!
I don’t usually write reviews but our guide, Shen, was so great. There were 8 in our group total and I think we had the Hokusai train all to ourselves. It was overcast our day but we did get a glimpse of Mt. Fuji during lunch. The waterfalls were very cool and the Wasabi farm was unique. Shen said this was a rare experience even for someone from Japan. It’s a lot packed in to one day, so time is a little short at some places. Everyone was super nice but shout out again to Shen who was just the nicest and most caring.
The tour guide was kind and explained the tourist destination in detail. It was a great experience!
The tour was quite enjoyable and fulfilling! The tour guide, Nao-san, made the whole trip engaging and fun with his knowledge and friendly nature. It is a trip for people who wants a unique and hands-on experience!
We went in May 2026, there were 5 people in the group and a guide, Mr. Nao. In one day visited several locations, saw the sacred Mount Fuji, waterfalls, visited a cultural center, nature park, wasabi farm, took a special tourist train and raced by high-speed train. Everything was very well organized, despite the fact that it was a very busy day, we were not tired at all and we returned to Tokyo satisfied. I would like to thank Mr. Nao in particular for his attentiveness and interesting and informative stories.
