We had a great time. Our guide Meiji “May” made our day memorable. Excellent sites and great food, May is very knowledgeable of the sites, has very good English and had very nice details during the tour. Ahh and he has all the nice spots for pictures identified. The restaurant he took us for lunch was excellent, we tried an amazing hoto udon.
We had a great day with Yumi, who greeted us at the hotel lobby. Yumi is very knowledgeable in Japan culture and tradition. She always tried to do her best to accommodate our preferences. The lunch place she brought us to had the best tempura I have ever had. At the end of tour, she made sure we are clear about transportation options for our self tour on the next day. We really appreciate her accompany and help.
Dear my guest, Thank you for your kind words. Very happy to know that you both enjoyed the day. Yes, the tempra was superb. Hope you could see Mt. Fuji during your stay in Mt. Fuji area. I also enjoyed being a guide for such nice people. Best regards, Yumi

Really great time !!!

We had a wonderful day with Yumi. She took her time explaining all the sites and really listened to what our interests were and tailored the experience to match. Would highly recommend her!

Masako provided an exceptional and memorable tour of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding areas. The family deeply appreciated the care and effort she put into making the day so special. Her patience, kindness, and thoughtful approach stood out throughout the experience. She was consistently considerate and accommodating, which made the entire trip feel seamless and enjoyable. With her guidance, visiting Mt. Fuji became even more meaningful and enriching. Her warmth and hospitality left a lasting impression, and this is a day the family will remember fondly for years to come. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a personalized and heartfelt experience.
The best tour guide Meiji "May" - highly recommend!! We decided since we had limited time at the Mount Fuji area to hire a tour guide. We were so blessed to have Meiji. He emailed us a week or so before to ask what we would like to see in the area. We had a few ideas, he gave us suggestions and we came up with a great schedule. To make the most of the time we decided to get a private driver. We had such a great day with him - he is so knowledgeable and eager to teach. His English is perfect and he is just charming. We learnt a lot about the Shinto shrines and worship practices and its differences from Buddhist temples. At each stop he knew all the great photo spots and made sure we got some perfect moments captured. He introduced us to some different foods and the Japanese culture. We had a lovely lunch eating traditional Hoto noodles. You would never learn so much or see so much of the Fuji area on your own. Meiji made it effortless, and we made a friend. If he ever makes it out to the DC area, we are going to ‘try’ and return the favor. Thank you Meiji for such a wonderful day we will always remember. Blaise and Angie
Thank you so much for your heartful comment. I'm really glad to know both of you enjoyed the tour with me and I really appreciate your cooperation to proceed the tour quite smoothly. Looking forward to seeing you on the next occasion! All the best for you and your family! Your guide: May
Four of us and I rented a minivan taxi. The sum cost of the tour plus the taxi was not cheap. The value is in a personal guide taking us the route we wanted to follow, by a personal driver that was beside where we visited and we stepped into/out of the taxi on schedule, no waiting, not crampt. Our guide was a great help and source of info. We arranged a seven hour tour and we went all over and avoided the really touristy points. Tour is worth the cost. Recommend you sort in your own mind where you want to go and don't be limited to anything predetermined. NOTE: We stayed two nights in Mishima and took the Mishima Liner bus to/from Kawaguchiko Station to start the tour. The locations around Kawaguchiko Lake are swamped with people.
Thank you so much for your kind words.. And I appriciate that joining our tour. I'd be delighted if you felt your trip was comfortable. It was so nice to see you all smiling always. All the best wishes. - Masako
Very informative, interesting and exhaustive tour..our guide Mr. Yoshii Kenichi luckily accompanied us from tokyo to kawaguchiko and was very polite and friendly. He started with the history of japan and gradually built a story which made us familiar with the place. He showed us some amazing and spectacular places with natural beauty and charm associated with them. we enjoyed everything from the ice caves, wind caves to the laje views and the ropeways. He was very helpful in arranging and queuing for us to make thing simple and faster . I wish him all the v best in life
Thank you very much for your nice review. I wish your family will visit Japan more frequently and enjoy not only history and culture but also beautiful nature in countryside. Thanks and best regards. Yoshii Kenichi
We had a brilliant day exploring the Kawaguchiko area with the amazing May (Meiji) and a private driver. May was in touch prior to the day asking what we liked & with options and examples of some of the things we could do. It was very helpful & great to be able to chat in advance. On the day pick up was perfect and we headed out & saw everything we wanted to and more thanks to May’s expert guiding & knowledge. We saw Temples, Gardens, Lakes, Villages & the Ice Cave PLUS we had amazing views of Mt Fuji most of the day. We also hit an incredible lunch spot with amazing local speciality one pot ramen (sorry I can’t remember the name!). We got loads of pictures (& I should mention May is also an excellent photographer for family shots!) and lasting memories. At the end of the tour we were lucky enough to head up to May’s Cafe for some iced tea/coffee and one of the best views of Mt Fuji of the day. Another thing I should mention is that May plays the piano! I know this as he played Happy Birthday before surprising me with a slice of cake/candles (it was my 50th the week before). All in all an amazing day with a brilliant guide in May. Thank you for making it great for us and our teens (14 & 16 yrs old).
Thank you so much for your tremendous review! I'm so glad to find it and really appreciate it. Anyway I'm happy all of your family members look enjoying the tour. Looking forward to seeing you on the next occasion and I'm always ready to welcome you to Japan with Mt.Fuji. May
We had the pleasure of spending the day with May, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. From the moment we met him, he made us feel welcome, informed, and completely at ease. May’s knowledge of the local culture, history, and hidden spots added real depth to our experience. Unfortunatilly mount Fuij was covered in clouds but thats the time of the year … Thank you, May, for your kindness, professionalism, and for making our trip so special. We would absolutely recommend you to anyone visiting Japan , and we hope to see you again on a future adventure! With gratitude
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, I really appreciate it. And I'm so glad all of you enjoyed the tour with me, hope your family trip would be the memorable one. Looking forward to seeing you again on the next occasion and I'm always ready to welcome you back to Fuji Kawaguchiko Area, with Mt.Fuji. Best wishes for you and your family! Your guide May
