The Hai Van Pass is a 20-kilometre strip of road that joins the city of Da Nang and Lang Co in Hue Province. At 500 metres above sea level, it’s the highest pass in the whole of Vietnam. ‘Hai Van’ roughly translates as ‘Sea of Clouds’ in Vietnamese, which perfectly describes this misty mountain coastal road that connects the ocean with the sky. As the road curves back and forth, some slight bends, some hairpin turns, drivers are rewarded with spectacular views of misty mountains rising high over the South China Sea, deserted sandy beaches, dense jungles and the twinkling lights of far-off cities. We had an amazing day riding on the motorbikes from Hue to Hoi An! Along the way we stopped at beautiful and cozy places, visited a stunning waterfall, and enjoyed delicious seafood by the sea. Our three guides were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even better. They shared interesting information about the places we visited and regularly stopped so we could take beautiful photos without feeling rushed. This was the perfect experience for us: a fun day trip while also traveling from Hue to Hoi An. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to make the journey. Highly recommended – top, top, top!
A great day. We are a family of 4 , children 9 and 11 and felt safe the whole way. Our drivers we really friendly and we stopped at great places along the way from Hue to Hoi An and even added the dragon bridge. Never felt rushed and we all loved it. Thank you, Quynh and the team.

Very fun experience. Dan was very sweet and good at asking if he should take pictures etc. But also determines very much yourself how long you are at the stops, so it doesn't feel stressful
It was just amazing!!!!! We thought we’d make the train ride from Hue to Hoi an and finally we let ourselves be convinced to make the ride by motorcycle. No regrets, this is one of our best days of the stay! Making the trip with Ron and Phu bi was perfect. They were very caring from À to Z. I recommend 100%, you will take full view:)
