Blagaj Tekija is a Dervish monastery outside Mostar, Bosnia, that’s nearly 600 years old. Situated at the base of a cliff, next to the source of the river Buna, it’s a unique and picturesque series of buildings that looks even better in person than it does in pictures. Tour guide describes 500 years of sufi presence in Balkans and different orders which are existing in this area. Next to the sufi house there is beautiful spring of river Buna which will leave you unbreathable. This is one of the biggest sources of drinkable water in Europe. Kravica waterfall, often erroneously called Kravice, is a large tufa cascade on the Trebižat River, in the karstic heartland of Herzegovina. Its height is about 25 metres (80 ft) and the radius of the lake in the base of the waterfall is 120 metres. We are staying here for about an hour and there is option to swim under waterfall during hot summer days. We will spend 1 hour at Kravice falls - the remaining time is travel time going to the next attraction.
Stari Most (literally 'Old Bridge'), also known as Mostar Bridge, is a rebuilt 16th-century Ottoman bridge in the city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina that crosses the river Neretva and connects the two parts of the city. The Old Bridge stood for 427 years, until it was destroyed on 9 November 1993 by Croat paramilitary forces during the Croat–Bosniak War. Subsequently, a project was set in motion to reconstruct it; the rebuilt bridge opened on 23 July 2004. The Old Town of Mostar is WORLD HERITAGE UNESCO SITE
On the Radobolja River, near to where it joins the Neretva, close to the Old Bridge, stands the Crooked Bridge, a miniature version of The Old Bridge -Stari Most. Built in 1558, eight years prior to the more famous Old Bridge, it is believed to have been built as a trial attempt for the following, more daring, construction.
The First Hamam in Mostar build during Ottoman empire.
Entered from a gated courtyard, this 1618 mosque (substantially rebuilt after the war) has a dome painted with botanical motifs and punctuated by coloured-glass windows. You can climb the claustrophobic minaret for sweeping town views.

Our tour was amazing and we learned so much history we did not know before. It was amazing to see everything we have seen on social media in real life. I think the timings were also perfect, there was just enough time to see everything and not get bored. Chris was an amazing guide, and we felt safe and taken care of - as well as he was very educated on everything, so he taught us so much history!! For us this trip was a 10/10, and we have recommended it to all of our friends that are traveling to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and even told the others to make sure to take a trip down here☺️
Beautiful and complete Herzegovina Trip, very well organized and very competitive price. Waterfalls were the real surprises, Mostar Old City deserves definitely One visit. Excellent guide Elmin, Who took care tothe whole group with competence.
It was a pleasure to be on this tour. I truly enjoyed every moment of it. We started from Sarajevo and visited many beautiful places, including Mostar. Our guide, Elmin, was excellent. He shared interesting information about every destination, making the journey both enjoyable and informative. Elmin picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back afterward, which made the whole experience very convenient. What impressed me the most was his kindness and patience. Even when we asked questions about things that weren’t part of the tour, he always took the time to answer them with a smile and genuinely tried to help with our other travel needs. He was professional, friendly, and always made everyone feel comfortable. As a woman, I would also feel completely safe joining one of his tours as a solo traveler, which is something I think is worth mentioning. Thank you, Elmin, for making this trip such a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina!
This tour is a terrific way to get to know Bosnia. Our guide, Kristjan, was very knowledgeable, friendly, spoke great English, and clearly wanted to provide a great experience for his guests.. The van was incredibly comfortable and made the drives between sites enjoyable. Kristjan did a wonderful job of both providing lots of information about sites and giving us all time to rest and explore. Highly recommend!
Very good experience, the sights were amazing, and the gide was so nice and had lots of information,
A very enjoyable day trip from Sarajevo to Mostar, featuring several interesting stops along the way. The guide, Jasmin, was charismatic and made sure everyone stayed engaged and included throughout the journey. He provided historical insights into each location we visited and even shared Bosnian music from different eras. He also took the time to explain Bosnia’s complex political landscape in a clear and approachable way, often with a touch of humor that made the topic easier to grasp. In addition, he placed strong emphasis on safety — encouraging everyone to stay hydrated in the heat, pointing out areas where petty crime can occur, and keeping track of the group so no one wandered off.
My wife and I recently took the Herzegovina day tour with Meet Bosnia, and from the moment we were picked up to our final drop-off, the experience was absolutely flawless. 💳 Seamless Booking & Prepaid Entries The organization started right at the point of booking. We chose to pay extra upfront to include our admission tickets, which made the day completely stress-free. Two of the stunning places we visited required entry tickets—the Blagaj Dervish House and the breathtaking Kravice Waterfalls. Having these pre-arranged saved us any hassle at the gates and kept the tour moving beautifully. 🚗 Flawless Organization & Point-to-Point Travel A special shoutout and our deepest gratitude go to Adnan, who picked us and our luggage up directly from our hotel in Sarajevo. Not only was he incredibly helpful, but he also handled logistics like picking up lunches for the day's tours, all while engaging us in a warm, friendly conversation. It was incredibly convenient that they safely transported our bags so we could conclude our day at our new hotel in Mostar instead of heading back to the capital. 🗺️ An Exceptional Journey with Christopher ❤️ Our tour guide for the day was the lovely and humble, Christopher. He was an absolute joy and an incredible wealth of knowledge, providing a rich, in-depth history of the region, excellent safety advice, and great recommendations for food. For us, ending the tour one-way with a drop-off at our accommodation in Mostar, the journey lasted about 10 hours and covered 4 to 5 incredible areas of interest. If you are doing the full round trip back to Sarajevo, the total tour time is about 12 hours—a long day, but completely worth it given the amazing distance and history you cover. 💙 True Inclusivity and Care As someone with a visible disability, I am often anxious about the physical demands of intensive day tours. However, Christopher was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and considerate. He took extra care to ensure I could safely navigate the walking involved and fully participate throughout the entire day. He has a rare gift for making you feel like an old friend, rather than just a customer. ☀️ A Perfect Day Out Even with a lot of walking and the hot weather, the tour struck the perfect balance—the information was deeply engaging without being overwhelming. Ending our day with a smooth drop-off in Mostar where we are continuing our stay was the perfect finish. We love Bosnia, and we love Meet Bosnia. We would without hesitation use this team and service again in the near future, and we highly recommend them to anyone visiting this beautiful country!
Wonderful from the pick up to the drop off. Everyone at meet Bosnia was helpful. Adnan picked us up, loaded our luggage, picked up sandwiches for all the tours taking place that day whilst doing that we had a friendly conversation. Everything was thoroughly organised. We were introduced to our tour guide for the day the lovely and humble Christopher. He was an excellent tour guide and very informative. He gave a rich in-depth history and explanation of all the areas we were visiting that day as well as recommendations for routes to attractions and food etc. Great safety advice as well. Christopher was very attentive and caring. Ensuring that I would be able to fully participate in the tour since I have a disability. A very humble brother who makes you feel like an old friend. Thoroughly recommend this tour. It is long but you are covering quite a distance and a 4-5 areas of interest. A lot of walking involved but that's very healthy for the body.
We had a fantastic time on this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Jasmin, our tour guide, was absolutely brilliant. He had a great sense of humour that kept everyone entertained throughout the day, while being incredibly knowledgeable about the history, culture, and places we visited. A special mention also goes to our bus driver, who worked seamlessly with Jasmin to keep everything running smoothly. They made a great team and helped make the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. Thank you both for a wonderful day—we’re so glad we chose this tour!
