I would personally not recommend this tour. While I got to check out another country I did not think the price and time was worth it. While you get to see everything that was advertised the tour is a bit misleading. First stop was super short and there was not enough time to do anything that was recommended and seemed like a waste. The guide in Mostar was great however after only a 30 minute tour you’re are on your own for the rest of the time. While they say some places take card I would highly recommend bringing lots of cash and I didn’t find a single place for lunch that took card. While I do appreciate the smoothness that this tour provided at the border crossings, there was a lack of information about where to get water and use the bathroom which I feel are important things in +36 degree weather. Finally while you get to spend 1hr at the waterfall most of this time is spent walking up and down the stairs to get to them and does not give enough time to swim in my opinion.
Overall this was a fun and enjoyable experience. It is definitely a full day! We were picked up at 7a and didn’t arrive back to the meetup point until almost 8p. There was a lot of driving and my biggest negative was the poor comfort of the bus seats and bus temperature. On multiple stops when we exited it was cooler outside than inside the bus. The strength of the ac was abysmal. Our guide, Laura, was fantastic!
Some things travelers should know before booking this tour. Our return trip was incredibly frustrating. We spent TWO HOURS sitting at the border waiting to cross back into Croatia. While I understand that border delays are sometimes unavoidable, what was unacceptable was the complete lack of communication from our tour guide. Neither the driver nor the tour guide provided any updates about what was happening or how long we might be waiting. The trip to our destination crossing the border took only about an hour, so spending two hours stopped at the border with no information was extremely frustrating. The day also seemed poorly planned. It was extremely hot, so everyone was drinking plenty of water. After sitting at the border for two hours, we still had approximately another hour and a half to return to Split. During those nearly four hours on the bus, there were no restroom stops, and no one offered passengers an opportunity to get off and use a bathroom. To make matters worse, the restroom on the bus was not operational. By the end of the ride, many passengers were visibly uncomfortable. I also wanted to mention our visit to Kravica Falls. While the waterfalls themselves are okay, I found it difficult to justify paying €30 for two people to enter what felt like an overcrowded tourist attraction. There were no chairs or shaded places to sit and relax despite the large number of visitors. You could pay to rent a chair but all the chairs were dirty and looked like they were picked up at a garage sale. The restrooms were absolutely disgusting—and I truly mean disgusting. I attached a photo of the area outside the restroom because it accurately reflects the condition of the facilities. Considering how much money is collected from visitors every day, it certainly doesn't appear to be invested back into maintaining the park. Visitors should also know that reaching the falls requires navigating a long, steep staircase both down and back up. There is a shuttle available, but it costs an additional €1 per person and does not always operate on the same schedule as the tour buses, making it an unreliable option if you're trying to get back on time. We also felt the itinerary itself could have been much better. The first stop added very little value and, in our opinion, was a poor use of time. The only actual guided portion of the tour lasted about 45 minutes. Beyond that, it felt as though we were simply paying for transportation rather than a guided sightseeing experience. Overall, we were disappointed that we chose to spend one of our vacation days on this excursion. While some delays are outside of the tour company's control, better planning, working restroom facilities, scheduled bathroom breaks, and basic communication throughout the day would have made for a much better experience. Unfortunately, this tour did not meet our expectations, and we would not recommend it.
What a fantastic tour! Even in the European record heat wave, I thoroughly enjoyed my day in B&H. All the stops were so rich with history and culture. The bus was comfortable and ready with the A/C when we boarded. The process of going through customs & border patrol was smooth thanks to our guide, Josip.
Some things that travelers should know about this. We spent two hours on the way home at border. TWO HOURS. There was no communication from the driver or the tour guide as to what was going on. The way there only took about an hour, but it’s absolutely ridiculous to be spending two hours sitting on a bus with no communication from the tour guide as to what’s happening. Also, this was very poorly planned. It was a very hot day out, so everyone was drinking a lot of water, and we spent two hours at the border, and then another hour and a half to get back to split. There were no bathroom brakes so close to four hours on the bus and no one offered us the opportunity to get off to go to the bathroom. Everyone was very uncomfortable. The bus bathroom did not work. The first stop on the tour was a complete waste of time. We were disappointed that we spent one of our days on vacation on this tour. The only actual tour part was about 45 minutes with a tour guide. Effectively you’re just paying for transportation.
A long but worthwhile day. Great tour guide and driver. Mostar definitely worth a visit as is the Haji-Ali’s Mosque.

A fantastic experience from start to finish. Even though this was a 12-hour tour, it felt much shorter thanks to the smooth transportation and the great stories and insights from our guide Mate. Everything was well organized, especially the border crossing, which was handled efficiently and without any hassle. Mate did an excellent job keeping the group engaged throughout the day. One advice is BRING CASH!
Was so nice over day trip with gray line Thanks to our guide Peter
Mate was an excellent guide. He was very friendly and fun to talk to. He was very knowledgeable in the history of Croatia and Mostar and allowed us to learn a lot. The trip overall was a good pace and enjoyable for a simple day trip. My s/o and I were both very happy with our experience and our guide, Mate.
Amazing tour with Petar. You'll see stunning views and you can enjoy nice food and drinks. Definitely a must!
