Witness professional buyers carefully evaluating and bidding on bluefin tuna. Try local Japanese food such as sushi, matcha, mochi, grilled eel, and tamago. Purchase Japanese knives, pottery, chopsticks, a matcha whisk, wasabi grater. ■※optional- Lottery for the closer view To watch the auction from the 1st floor: 1. Book our tour by the 5th of the previous month. 2. Please follow our message and register yourself for the lottery (required by the market). ■ Note ・If you win the lottery, bring your passport or ID card. ・If you lose the lottery, we can still see the auction from the 2nd floor. ・For Travelers in December: Please note that the 1st-floor lottery is not held at the end of December. Bobby was the best tour guide we had in our 10 days in Japan. It was clear he was passionate about what he did. Don’t sleep on Tsukija market. He knew everybody, and was super informative.
Fabulous tour. Hiro was an amazing guide. He met us on time. Explained everything about the auction. We were lucky enough to have won the auction for better viewing and got to see all of the areas of the floor. Would highly recommend.
Great experience viewing the tuna auction at Toyosu. Sachiyo was an amazing guide. Went to a huge effort to accommodate out group of 6. Lots of great information. Then a short trip to Tsukiji outer market and some great street food. Highly recommend this tour with Scchiyo.

We only had a few hours in Tokyo and wanted to make the most of it. And WE DID!! or Nobby did it for us!! Toyosu & Tsukiji Markets with the Tuna Auction, Imperial Palace, Asakusa, Meiji Jingu Shrine - All planned like clockwork, sharing special stories and history. Nobby was fantastic, and we could not have asked for a better guide. We felt very lucky and we will remember that experience forever because of his kind, gracious, and expert demeanor. We took a custom tour with guide and driver. Nobby was our guide and I would highly recommend. He was responsive during the planning stages, arrived on time at our hotel and very enjoyable to spend the day with. He was extremely knowledgeable about the sites and history. Wonderful tour!!!
I had such a great experience at this bonsai making class. It was fun, hands-on, and genuinely memorable. The class made bonsai feel approachable while still giving a real appreciation for the craft and patience behind it. What also really stood out was how kind and accommodating they were. I had a last-minute emergency and needed to reschedule later in the week with almost no notice, and they handled it so graciously and made the whole process easy. Overall, it was a very cool experience and definitely one of the highlights of my trip. I enjoyed it so much that I plan on continuing bonsai making at home in the USA. Highly recommend.
The tour begins with fascinating education about the fishing industry and ends in a lively, unique market. You're sort of following the fish from their originating waters to where they meet the fish consumer—there's information at first and then hands-on experience in the marketplace, all set in the historical and contemporary context of this vital global industry. Our guide, Nobby, was terrific—friendly, knowledgeable, responsive to our questions, and just great company all around. My 16-year-old daughters said they could tell that he loves his job, and he skillfully engaged them in a presentation about a completely unfamiliar topic. This is not an easy thing to do! Set your alarm clock and get down to take this tour. It may end up being a surprisingly enduring memory.
