An absolute fantastic and wonderful day. It’s so hard to describe the day Marta provided for us. She was so kind and met us at an easy meeting point to navigate the metro since we didn’t know how to in Spain. She was so knowledgeable of the area. Montserrat was an incredible experience. We took this rail car to the top of the mountain where she showed us the Basilica and where the current monks live. There was a mass that we were able to join and pray.. which was lovely. We then walked down the trail to the cave where historians say a shepherd boy found the statue of the Virgin Mary in the year 880.. it was believed this was placed in the cave to be protected by invading forces. We saw the trail of pain, suffering, and glory. What an amazing and beautiful day we had. Thank you Marta!!! Don’t hesitate to book this tour with her. You will not be disappointed.
Marta was excellent and her knowledge really helped us understand the history and tradition behind Monserrat.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. She went out of her way to ensure we were able to learn everything about the history of the monastery and the Black Madonna! We enjoyed the tour and our time with Marta!
Start to finish, Marta was sharing insight and comfortably engaging, friendly conversation, not teaching; she is very knowledgeable about history and context. Every detail, logistic, arrangement etc was anticipated and seamless…
Do not miss it! Adri and Ori were wonderful guides. They explained to us the history of Barcelona and Montserrat. They gave us Very interesting facts plus they were funny. I loved the trip, the sightseeing and the Mel and mato. Amazing place and people. Make it a part of your itinerary. Booking the trip with trip advisor was convenient.
Marta was a great guide, she made the trip flexible for our young kids. We were able to see the boys choir, and we loved the cable car ride up the mountain.
Wonderful experience, learned a lot about the culture. Saw a great deal of the surrounding areas. Marta was amazing. I would recommend to visitors, a must see.
Our guide Marta was amazing, very knowledgeable & engaging. When the monorail was not working she made sure we were able to attend other attractions at the site. We were fortunate that the weather was crystal clear so we could see Barcelona. We all enjoyed the breathtaking views from Montserrat!
A wonderful mountain view. Our guide Anna was so knowledgeable and knew exactly how to direct us the the most important highlights of the venue. Everything was organised nicely from Barcelona to Monserrat and back to Barcelona again just on time. Thank you
Thanks for your kind feedback. We are glad that you have had a good time with us.
It was a very good day trip out of town. The hike was not as bad as expected, as it was a fairly flat path, although slightly steep at times, but worth it for the view. Montserrat is a beautiful place to visit, and I feel like this trip was the perfect time to get an idea and explore the area. Roger the guide was very welcoming and competent!
