We had a very small group of 4. It was like our own private tour. The drive to Monserrat was about 45 minutes. It was good to get out of the city and see the country side. Monserrat is very old place with a lot of history. The four of us hiked up to St Christopher cross with our tour guide. You can also take a tram ride down into a little town to get a bite and some drinks. There are local vendors also on site. Try their cottage cheese with honey. So delicious. It was a beautiful clear day. The tour was a perfect amount of time spent there. Seeing the Black Madonna was a sight. We also saw a wedding in the church with beautiful singing. It was a treat. Do make time to do this tour . We enjoyed it!!
It's a nice drive out to Monserrat . Lot of history, ofcourse the Black Madonna was a sight to see. We hiked up to the Cross. A kind of challenging uphill climb but the views were amazing. Our guide was great he gave us the history on Monserrat. A great tour to get out of the city and enjoy the country side. I would recommend this tour.
Our guide Patricia had a nice recording for us on the way to Monserrat that was informative. The mountain was fun to explore. The Basilica would have been better if we had headphones to listen to the audio guide we had to download. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time or had an option for the hand held audio machines with headphones.
Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted that you enjoyed Montserrat and Patricia's guidance. We apologize that headphones were not mentioned in advance. Unfortunately, the guide assumed the guests had their own and forgot to remind them to bring a pair. We appreciate this observation and will make sure to communicate it more clearly in the future. We are glad the rest of the experience met your expectations.
We booked this tour last minute and ended up having an INCREDIBLE time!!! Tour guide Andy was so amazing, friendly, personable, and extremely knowledgeable about the region’s history/culture so it made for the most special experience. Andy even went out of his way to provide us with an itinerary for the remainder of our trip and gave us SUCH incredible recommendations. He took us on various stops on the way to Montserrat and showed us absolutely stunning views of the mountains that were truly unbeatable. We had the most beautiful day of exploring and learning about the history of the Black Madonna + the mountain range. We highly recommend you book this, especially with the lovely Andy!!!!
Fred was an amazing tour guide
Pau was an amazing guide that made an incredible experience even better. A great combination of knowledge and friendliness you don't find easily, can't recommend him enough.

Pau was a wonderful tour guide who drove us to Monserrat. He was so interesting and very patient with the little ones on our tour. It was a lovely day and we really enjoyed seeing and learning about the history of the region. He also picked us up from our Airbnb in a comfortable van, which made the journey easier for our family of 5.
We had an amazing day with Andy. He was so engaging and thoughtful. We absolutely loved the tour and the chats and the visit to Montserrat.
Pao was an amazing addition to the day! He treated my family with respect and kindness. The days adventure was filled with historical facts and fun.
