Itinerary
Perast is one of the most beautiful Baroque towns in Montenegro. As a former sailor center it still shines with marvelous buildings, pretty churches and a romantic waterfront. Perast has a long history, which is dating back to the 13th century. As the center for boaters, captains and sailors, the small town grew steadily and gained wealth at the 16th century. During a walk through the old town you can still admire many splendid villas and marvelous buildings, which have already been well restored. Inside the old town along the narrow streets you will find around 16 different churches. Probably the most famous church in Perast and one of the main attractions is the Church of St Nicholas. With a 55-meter-high bell tower, it is the highest building in all of the Bay. In the old town guests can visit Bujovic Palace. This architectural masterpiece is located directly at the sea promenade and it is the only palace in town, that can be visited from inside.
After free time in Perast we will visit island Our Lady of the Rocks with the church built in 17th century. The only man-made island on the Adriatic, The island made by scuttling old ships and depositing stones around a small crag. The church houses a venerable 15th century icon of Virgin Mary, now know as Our Lady of the Rocks, and an altar made of Carrara marble is a work of Genovese sculptor Antonio Capelano. Because the church was so important to the area, the interior was richly decorated with many art gifts through time. Behind the church there is a small museum dedicated to history of Perast. The courtyard in front is known as “Place of Reconciliation.” Today the small island church acts as a sort of cultural center of Catholics of Boka.
Visiting Old city of Kotor , Travelers have a tour with guide and after tour they have a free time 3 hours.

Nice, smaller town. Short boat or car ride from Dubrovnik without the crowds. Stay in Cavtat and boat over to Dubrovnik for the day.
Great organised trip and good value with the boat trip and return coach trip. Hana was efficient and informative and shared some interesting facts about Montenegro. The views were amazing and couldn’t believe the natural beauty of the country. We waited a bit for border control on the return journey home and coach was full - so going as a group of 3 made it a bit difficult from seating, but was able to sit near each other despite being last ones picked up and on coach.
We were picked up right by our Airbnb. We had a great tour guide with lots of history and information during our bus ride. Everything was efficiently arranged, and we had plenty of time to see the sites.
Nice trip but long time to wait at the borders Nice guide and a lot of history and beautiful landscapes
We had a tremendous day out to Montenegro with our tour guide Sandra! The trip was well planned and Sandra was full of knowledge explaining different aspects of the country and it’s rich history on the bus ride and boat tour. She even taught us a few keys words to know when navigating the town! Sandra was so courteous and knowledgable while also cracking a few jokes while she was going along! Just to note the boarder crossing was long this is to be expected it was out of the tour operators control. But overall we had an excellent well planned day out to Montenegro with lots of fun.
Trip got off to a start as when we were advised we could not be picked up near our accommodation, the arrangement was we would be collected at Cavtat Bus Station. I always like to be early so we were there over hslf an hour before the pick up time. (,in a very bad storm with torrential rain). It was getting later and later and we were becoming concerned but thought the delay was due to the weather or they had cancelled the trip. I tried contacting the company and then got a call from the tour guide asking where WE were as we were not at the pick up point! She argued that they were at the Bus Station and we weren't. Language barriers did not help so a local taxi driver assisted us and spoke to her, telling her that there was only ONE Bus Station in Cavtat and we were there! A mini bus with a few others then came and picked us up to then join the main coach. We were made to feel we were in the wrong and had held everyone else back which was not a nice feeling. It was also annoying as to reach the main coach we actually drove past our apartment. However after a hitch at the border when someone had to leave the coach as they did not have a visa the only issue was the weather. We could not leave the coach for a while at Kotor because of the heavy rain. It eventually dried, and although it cut our time short, (nobody's fault) wnd we had a wonderful trip. Kotor is stunning as was Our Lady of the Rocks. We did not have much time to explore Perast due to lack of time with the delays but had a nice walk beside the water. Despite the bad start to the day I would highly recommend this trip and encourage people to go.
Sorry to have to write this review but was So upset with Trip. Whole experience that I Do Need to make others aware. I suppose it may depend on who you book with and who they book with. We booked in Cavtat alone the front with a Man Called Michael. Bit of a character. We had been on another trip booked with Him to Mostar Kravice Waterfall. This was a long trip but we'll worth seeing the Waterfalls. So we booked again with Michael for the Montenegro trip. 85 euros each but he said it does include a lovely meal and drink!!!. Please see the photos I have included. Long fast walk from coach to Rickety boat to begin with. Seen much better days. No commentary on the trip to Boka Bay could have been anywhere. Spoke to tour guide( forgot her Name) and she started showing something on a board!!!. This was a shame as it looked lovely. Suppose to visit islet church and museum which we did for 20mins. Church small. Big ques so did not have time to actually go in!!!. Got off boat and walked Kotor where we were suppose to have a 20. To 30 min tour with guide!!!. Then 2 and half hour free time. NO Guided tour. Given map and told to get on with it!!!. Had to report to Michael as we then had to buy our own meal as an extra cost of 20 euros each!!! And was Very dissatisfied. He did say that He Had Had Other complaints about this tour and was Not going to use them again!!!. I wondered if He would. Could Not deny once photos were shown. The food was for 4 Adults. The toilets were just a joke. Light went off when door closed. I fell over tool box.(never hurt myself luckly. ). Tour lady didn't want to know. Another guest did Trip up when getting off boat as there wasn't a proper departure plank!!!. Michael did give me 20 euros back. Half the cost of meals. He wanted me to send photos to Him via WhatsApp which I have been trying to do since May. Could I just let others be aware tgat other people were paying different prices for the same trips!! So be ware.
Views fab , restaurants really good - stunning buildings and we loved our trip and look forward to our next visit leave time for border crossing
Boat in average condition in comparison to other opperators on the port. The deck hand and captain were very polite however and made the most of what they were given. Shop around
I had the most wonderful day trip to beautiful Montenegro from Croatia. We were well taken care of by our tour guides and driver who were accommodating and knowledgeable in the history and culture of Montenegro. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.
