Itinerary
This tour transports you from Paris to the magical abbey-crowned island of Mont Saint-Michel, one of the most iconic sights in all of France, aboard a private bus. Offering you a hassle-free way to explore the island with plenty of free time ensuring you do not have to adhere to a rigid sightseeing schedule. As you approach the Mount Saint-Michel, your guide will provide insight on the UNESCO-listed island. Listen to interesting anecdotes about the history of the abbey, whilst admiring the views of the island and the surrounding region of Normandy Mont Saint-Michel began humbly enough in the eighth century, when – citing orders from Archangel Michael himself – a bishop built a church on this small and secluded rock island, which later expanded during the medieval era, attracting an increasingly large number of pilgrims.
You can then choose from some of the many options for lunch, ranging from dining rooms serving rustic meat-focused fare to sophisticated restaurants with bay-view terraces specializing in seafood. Alternatively, you can stop by one of Mont Saint-Michel’s crêperies and feast on galettes (buckwheat pancakes) paired with Normandy cider, for a more casual and characteristically Breton feed. In the late afternoon, re-board the bus for the return journey to Paris, which will see passengers back in the City of Lights well in advance of bedtime.

Best to bring a lunch as more crowded and takes time from exploring. Brimg goos walking shoes. Exit from the ramparts as going back into path with shops is shoulder to shoulder.
Wonderful time at St. Mont Michel. Lots of walking and many spaces are tight and narrow. It can hours because of how many people visit but still a breathtaking sight to see!
Great experience. Tour was very efficient and easy. Rudolf was excellent! He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Definitely would love to have him as a tour guide again.
It was a really fun and meaningful expérience with our guide Rodolfo!
Rodolpho was amazing! He was engaging and very knowledgeable. The trip was fantastic and I highly recommend.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, kind and clear with instructions. The bus was clean and comfortable. Just wished we had an extra hour. Once we tour the Abbey, there is not time for lunch and shopping. It’s a rush to grab a sandwich and get to the trams. Mont St Michel was just as amazing the second time!
It’s very crowd this time of year, but the place is very beautiful and different from any other places, the guide brought a lot knowledge and insight to have a wonderful experience
Lawrence was a fantastic tour guide during our trip to Mont St. Michel. He is very knowledgeable, clear, and a great story teller. He has a voice that you can listen to for hours...think David Attenborough. The tour itself was very organized and ran like a well-oiled machine. Our first stop at a gas station was 2hrs after departure. We arrived at MSM 2hrs later. In total, we had about 4hrs at MSM. However, due to the shear number of visitors...the lineup for the shuttle was incredibly long. Walking takes about 30-40mins depending on how fit you are. I'd also recommend you bring your own food as a simple ham and cheese sandwich costs 7 Euros...which is probably double the price at a grocery store. There is another stop on the way back. We had no issues with the tour operator or its staff. Anything else was really out of their control and due to the busy tourist season.
The guide was very nice and easy to understand English! They also shared information about recommended tourist attractions in Paris and safety precautions on the way back from the bus.
It’s a long bus ride, however well worth it! Our tour guide Lawrence, did an excellent job. He was very informative, providing commentary on the history of Mont St Michel, as well as Paris and France. Highly recommend this tour!
