I had a great eat tour with Bishamz. I was able to enjoy many of the local fruits, Indian, Swahili and Arabic foods. The tour was planned for 3 to 4 hours but it lasted 5 hours and by the end of the tour I was so full I could only taste the foods and was not able to finish the portions served. The tour was nicely paced and Bishamz explained a lot of the local history to me. If you are looking for an experience to try a good variety of local foods, I would recommend this tour. You will have a great time enjoying the local delicacies.
It was an amazing immersion into Mombasa ! Bishamz is a great guide and beautiful soul ! She seems to know everyone in old town Mombasa and the Marikiti Market! If you’re looking for an authentic experience, meeting simple people who cook great food, this is the tour you need. We started by sampling a variety of fruits and snacks in the spice market, and moved to more substantial meals. She was very patient and experienced. You can see how much she loves her city and her people . Thank you Bishamz, I will remember you and your beautiful city !
