Itinerary
Champagne Moët et Chandon Cellar Tour and Tasting at Moët et Chandon in the Avenue de Champagne at Épernay. The inhouse guide will take you through their historic cellars, a Unesco Heritage Site. At the end of the tour you will taste their Champagne wines, and visit their boutique. Claude Moët started producing Champagne in 1743, and his grandson Jean-Rémi excelled at making the brand world recognized. Among their customers you would find Madame de Pompadour, Napoléon and Queen Elizabeth II. The most famous Champagne in the world is one of the founders of the largest luxury group in the world, LVMH.
Champagne Avenue Let's drive through the glamorous Champagne Avenue of Epernay, where famous Champagne Houses are lined one after the other: Moêt & Chandon, Perrier-Jouët, Pol Roger, Mercier, De Castellane and more.
Hautvillers - the Cradle of Champagne wines Charming village atop the Valley of the Marne Valley, overlooking the river, Épernay and the spreading vineyards. We are going to stop for the magnificent view, and then visit the church where Dom Pérignon, the famous Steward of the local Monastery, lived and died. After seeing his tomb and talking about his legacy, we will drive through the village and hunt the dozens of medieval looking signs adorning the houses of this UNESCO site.
Cellar Tour and Tasting of a small producer of Champagne. There are thousands of small champagne producers in the small villages, some of which produce high quality wines for a good quality/price ratio. You will visit a selected one, looking into their process, machines, cellar and tasting 3 glasses of Champagne at the end.
We will stop at Épernay for the lunch break, where I can suggest good restaurants to pair food and Champagne.

Lovely day with Raphael as our guide. Enjoyed our experiences at Moet and Chandon, Cathedral and local vineyard.

Hi Damaris! THANKS!!! Hope you had a great time in Reims. My regards to your friends. Cheers
We had an unforgettable day on this tour. It was well worth the price! Our tour guide Raphael picked us up from our hotel and was friendly and professional. He took us to a small champagne house where we welcomed so kindly and given a very informative tour and tasting experience. It was a picturesque, beautiful way to start the morning! We saw the charming monastery of Dom Perignon and capped off the afternoon with an incredible, out-of-this-world tasting and tour experience at Moet and Chandon. Just a perfect day! You must do this!!
Thanks Erica! All the best!
A fantastic day. Great comms from Raphael. Picked up promptly from our hotel in Reims. We had the best day, Raphael is so knowledgeable about the area and all things champagne. Perfect lunch recommendation and so nice to have a trip where we could walk up the avenue de champagne. We went to a local grower too where we got a more relaxed tour. The viewpoint at Hautvillers was stunning. I highly recommend anyone looking for a trip to book with Raphael.
Thank you so much! I hope you had a nice trip back home. All the best.
A most excellent tour and guide. We loved every moment of the historical knowledge and champagne tour and tasting that our fabulous guide provided. Thank you for the wonderful day and memories!
Thank you so much for the review! All the best.
What a great day! Raphael made everything so easy for us and was punctual, informative, personable, and a great guide for the day! We loved exploring Moet and the small producer - and had a great lunch at one of the spots he recommended! Champagne is a must explore region and why over complicate it when a personal tour gives you everything you need! Would highly recommend!
Thanks Lawrence, send my best to Julien too!

We took a private tour with Raphael and had an absolutely wonderful day. He taught us so much about the history of the champagne region as well as the Champagne itself. We had a lovely tour at Moët Chandon and then visited a small local producer where we were able to meet the owner and drink champagne with him in his kitchen. Raphael was kind and also made a recommendation for one of the best lunches of our trip. Could not recommend this experience more!!
Thanks Jenny!!! It was a fun day. Hope you had a nice trip back home. My regards to Jim!
Raphael’s tour was amazing. We learned so much about history and production of champagne. A special part of the tour was visiting the small family owned ( 8th generation) champagne house and seeing how champagne is made. Raphael is the best!!!
Thank you Michael! So kind to give me this review, it was a pleasure! All the best to you and Ann. All the best.
