No children under 6 are allowed. One of our adults had to stay back with our 3 year old. I think this should be mentioned when tickets are advertised.. As a former teacher, this would hold little interest for a child of most ages!
When a guest just shows up with a little child without making an arrangement beforehand, it is a difficult situation both for the driver and for the mother. Five Star Adventures Tours want all of our guests on each tour to be able to enjoy and to get the most out of the tour without disruption. This cannot be guaranteed when a baby or very young child goes with the general public. If you have a very young little one, call ahead, and we will happily accommodate you with a private tour. The Five Star Adventures website states that the Legends & Icons Tour is "not appropriate" for children under 12. That said, if a family wants to take children over six years of age, they can go with the public tour at a price that is lower than for the adult. Every person, no matter the age, will sit in their own seat. Car seats are required for children according to their weight, as it is not an option for a baby to sit on an adult's lap because it is unsafe for the child. We love kids, we want them to be safe, and we want to accommodate each family the best way possible.
Annette was our tour guide and did an absolutely fantastic job. She has an incredible amount of knowledge of Palm Spring and kept us entertained from the tour's start to its finish. And not just about the architecture but the stories behind the architecture including a little bit of gossip for good measure, as well. She can be serious one minute and hilarious the next. She has lived in Palm Springs for 30 plus years and it's obvious that she loves the city and loves sharing what she knows with others. I've taken many tours of many cities over the years and never have I enjoyed one more.
Nothing wrong with this tour, and nothing special, thus the average rating. Good orientation to the area and fun to see where the stars lived. There were some gossipy bits to color the presentation. Tour included some info about the geology of the area. All in all, overpriced.
Thank you for your feedback, we hope you enjoyed your visit to the valley.
Annette was an amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable and super friendly! A definite must do if you’re in PSP!
Thank you for your great review, come back and enjoy another activity.
Good: Guide was very knowledgeable. We were in a VERY comfortable vehicle. It was a small sized tour...there were six of us and maximum would be about 9 I think. We saw many homes. Interesting. Not so good: Tour guide was sarcastic and almost nasty at times. He spoke way too quickly. After saying that he wouldn't take questions (a joke apparently) he then kind've ignored questions (maybe he couldn't hear?). Many houses behind greenery, fences - so should drive by at a much slower speed.
Our tour guide was Annette was very knowledgable about the history of the area and provided a very entertaining tour. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much, we strive to do the best job we can.
Knowledgeable tour guide and worth the money. centrally located pick up location. Visited the best houses.
Thank you so much and so glad you enjoyed the tour.
