Description
Moco Museum Barcelona is an independent modern and contemporary art museum located in the historic El Born district. The museum showcases internationally recognised artists such as Banksy, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, and many more. Exhibitions range from iconic modern art works to immersive rooms and large-scale installations that invite participation and reflection. Moco Museum Barcelona is known for its energetic, urban spirit. Art here engages with themes of rebellion, identity, humour, and modern life, resonating strongly with Barcelona’s creative pulse and global audience. By breaking down barriers between art and audience, Moco creates an inclusive space where contemporary culture feels immediate, human, and alive.

Wow!! Absolutely worth the time and money if you appreciate modern art! I walked past the museum while checking out the old gothic part of Barcelona. I’m so glad I saw the museum and even more glad that stopped in and bought a ticket. Such a contrast to all the other sights I saw that day (all of which were amazing). I bought numerous items from the gift shop. Just do it!!! You won’t be disappointed!
A Gem Next Door to the Picasso Museum! When in Barcelona, if you scheduled yourself for the Picasso Museum, this writer would highly suggest a visit right next door to the MOCO museum for an additional hour or so. This museum does not require advanced tickets. It was not crowded. The collection is varied and covers both downstairs and upstairs galleries, including big names such as Banksy and Robbie Williams (see photos). The young, hip staff members were welcoming and friendly, and we enjoyed the very trendy-feeling vibe of the place. Some of the artists clearly have a light sense of humor. I am very glad we stumbled upon this museum.
I loved it, I will remeber this experience for life it was such a good afternoon
It was a wonderful stay for our students.
A fantastic display with many modern artists and an alternative take on. My Daughter and I have visited Moco London and were impressed , this was equally as good. The interactive display was superb. We are not art snobs but love art in its purest form where the artist is communication clearly.
Lover of modern art I enjoyed this museum, the comment plates and follow on my smartphone the audio explanations thanks to the QR code on the entrance ticket (don’t forget to come with your headphones) I discovered digital art and works by Roby williams. I recommend it was very good. The museum is in the Born district very interesting also to stroll through these little streets full of surprising shops: good reasons to go to MOCO.
Excellent museum, no queues, perfect lighting; good art to appreciate
Wonderful and amazing art work. Great place to spend time with your loved one’s.
Small displays of Banksy, Basquiat’s and Herings, but an enjoyable, quick museum, about an hour to an hour and a half for everything.
A bit of a last minute choice to visit, booked on museum website the morning of visit and was first through the door. Quite something to see so many recent works including the Banksy exhibition up close and in person. Well presented space to spend an hour or 2.
