Sakura is the sweetest host and did her best to make my friend and I feel welcome. She assisted us in making matcha and mochi while giving us individual creative freedom. I especially appreciated her personal history lessons on the culture significance of mochi and matcha.
As the title implies, this was much better than first thought. Sakura-san was very understanding and explained all the steps perfectly. Would absolutely do it again!
We had a great time with Sakura who taught us a lot about the history of Japanese pastries and local culture We were able to make delicious pastries based on rice and taste them at the end of the session Our host was really adorable with us! Thank you very much Sakura!:D
We really enjoyed our experience making mochi! The explanation about the importance of mochi to Japanese culture was also very informative. The mochi we made were delicious! Thank you for the nice class!
Sakura-san was very welcoming and patient. She went over the cultural significance and history of the food we would make before we started which added nice context. Throughout she took lots of pictures and videos that she sent to me. Everything turned out well and I even took the recipes home! She is also a Japanese teacher so she helped me practice :)
Sakura was so kind and funny. We appreciated the history and background of the area in addition to all of the cultural knowledge about Japanese sweet treats!
100/10 would recommend for anyone of all ages is also great for family activities as well, you make desserts but also learn the history behind it and the host was very welcoming and nice and makes you feel right at home❤️✨.
I had a very good time learning about the culture and how to make mochi with my son, they were very cute and tasty! Thank you for showing us in your home.
My husband and 6 year old daughter had the best time with Sakura San learning more about the Japanese culture and making mochi/daifuku. The location is easily accessible and just a short walk from the train in a beautiful neighborhood. Sakura San was so patient with our daughter who absolutely loved the class. We made four delicious treats and were able to take them back with us so we could enjoy them later although our 6 year old ate hers up pretty quickly:) Have an even greater appreciation for the artistry behind Japanese sweets and so grateful to have had Sakura San as our teacher. A great experience and would highly recommend this class!
My daughter and I had a really good time making the mochi deserts. Sakura-san is super sweet and very attentive to our needs. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we are looking forward to bringing other family members back to her class. Choco (their cute dog) was an added plus!
