07:00 AM – Hotel Pickup Begin your journey with a comfortable pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar. Travel in a private or shared air-conditioned vehicle to the northeast coast near Matemwe or Nungwi, depending on sea conditions.
08:00 AM – Arrival & Briefing Arrive at the departure point and meet your professional boat crew. Receive a short safety briefing and snorkeling instructions. Get fitted with snorkeling gear and prepare for your ocean adventure.
08:30 AM – Boat Departure to Mnemba Waters Board a traditional wooden boat or speedboat and head toward the famous Mnemba Island Marine Conservation Area. Enjoy views of turquoise waters and Zanzibar’s coastline as you search for dolphins along the way. 09:00 AM – Dolphin Watching Experience Cruise through dolphin-rich waters where you may spot bottlenose and spinner dolphins. The guide was very experienced and showed us a lot of dolphins. Although the weather wasn't very good on the day, the overall trip was well organised and we stopped at the beach and ate very sweet and fresh fruit.

Snorkeling was the best experience ever! And I was amazed by the beautiful colorful fish and coral reefs. We had chosen an organization supposedly respectful of dolphins... In reality it was a rush of dozens of outboards, encircling the few dolphins coming out of the water for a few seconds to breathe. To try swimming with dolphins, you almost have to jump on them from the boat, and the encounter, if it takes place, lasts 30 seconds, taking the risk of being hit by another boat, before getting back on the boat and starting "the hunt" again... For the snorkelling game, the same boats congregate around a small coral mass, and there are some pretty fish, but some organizers talk about the Maldives of Zanzibar... They've probably never seen what you can see in the Maldives or the Red Sea!
