Not to be missed

Our guide Shannon was fantastic, knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned so much about Memphis and enjoyed every minute. We made stops along the way, including for a barbecue slider that was delicious. The National Civil Rights Museum was fascinating and not to be missed. We could have spent another hour there. Great tour!!

A wonderful experience

It was my first time visiting Memphis, and to do this tour was very important to me. Our tour guide Shannon was amazing from start to finish. She was very fluent in her commentary, and very knowledgeable. And Ms. Princess our driver was very kind, and drove us very safely. We really enjoyed the service

Don't leave TN without a visit!

This museum tells essential stories and history, including recent, of civil rights struggles in this country. What a wonderful way to repurpose the site of this tragedy into a place of shining the light and sharing the history of how so many have been inhumanely and wrongly deprived of basic rights that the white majority in this country, myself included, take for granted. Even more importantly, it shines a light on how strong and courageous those in the civil rights movement were to use nonviolent tactics, many times risking and losing their lives, to win rights that should have been theirs all along. I've seen films and read about the civil rights movement. Yet there was more to learn, especially about the 1) intent of Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation and 2) the role of the Cold War in the JFK administration's actions to intervene in the school desegregation fights and other events in which state governments refused to allow basic civil rights. Don't leave Tennessee without a visit.
