At a size of 4,500 acres this area covers more than five times the area of Central Park in New York City. While riding the horse trails with your trail guide, you'll have the opportunity to see deer, ducks, cranes and other wildlife. The horses are well-trained and can handle riders with all levels of experience. Choose from morning or afternoon departures. All riders must weigh less than 240 lbs

Today my husband and I recently took our granddaughters to Shelby Farms Park for a day of horseback riding, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, the adventure exceeded our expectations. A special shoutout to our guide, Sage! She was absolutely fantastic with the kids, especially my six-year-old granddaughter. Sage's patience and gentle demeanor put her at ease right away, making her first horseback riding experience a joy. It was heartwarming to see how knowledgeable and passionate she was about the horses; her enthusiasm was infectious! The park itself is beautiful, with well-maintained trails that allowed us to enjoy the stunning surroundings while we rode. The horses were all well-cared for and seemed happy and relaxed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a fun and memorable outing with family, I highly recommend visiting Shelby Farms Park for horseback riding. Thank you, Sage, for making our day truly special – you rock! Stongly recomment Sarah as a tour guide. They gave us Roxy and Diesel to ride great horses; seasoned, calm trained, with an auto pilot mode. My wife Maria could not have been any more happier with entire process.
The experience was phenomenal. My husband and I took a ride early in the morning once it is already summer and we were able to see lots of deer and other wildlife that complemented the beautiful trail and the great conversation held with our super guide, Sarah Howard. Our horses were sweet and easy to ride and Sarah was keeping always and eye on us to make sure that everything was okay and safe. I would like to recommend this tour to anyone… enjoy the ride! 🐎🐎♥️♥️

Went on a 1 hour trail ride with Tina and Beth & they both were amazing, very helpful and made me feel safe being that it was a new experience for me ! Daniel & Sherri assisted being helpful as well !! I rode Black Jac and he was very gentle making the ride everything I imagined !!! Shelby Farm stables amazing staff and smooth ride through nature wrapped up a great birthday weekend for me in Memphis TN ❤️❤️❤️

I had a wonderful experience with Shelby Farms Stables on their one-hour horseback trail ride. The staff was efficient and did a great job matching each rider with the right horse, whether beginner or experienced. The horses were clearly well cared for, friendly, and easy to ride, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The trail itself was scenic and peaceful—we even spotted several deer and a variety of birds along the way. I hadn’t been on a horse in many years, but the guides made everyone feel comfortable and confident. It was a relaxing and memorable ride, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Had a really great time on the trail ride. Our guides, Crystal and Tina, provided a lot of interesting info about each of the horses on the ride. We always felt safe and really enjoyed our time.
