Bob was a truly amazing guide!!! Thank you for welcoming us to your country so wholeheartedly and explaining so much interesting stuff to us! Your friendliness and your smile will be remembered :-))) Also, your English was exceptional and your jokes always made us smile (((-: Additionally, the car we were picked up in was very clean, fairly new as well as airconditioned and the driver made us feel safe. The Mekong Delta tour itself is super touristy and even crowded in parts as virtually all groups make the exact same stops. Most of the stops were nice-to-see but the "honey stop" was basically just a sales point without any additional value (in my opinion). We personally thought that the Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda at which we stopped on the way to the Delta was not a great experience as it was so densely crowded with foreign tourists who didn't know how to dress respectfully or behave adequately in this sacred space of the monks. And while it is surely important for the temple community to get recognition and earn money, this constant stream of gazing and filming outsiders / people takes away anything magical this space might have to offer and it doesn't feel spiritual at all. I almost feel sorry for the religious community / the people living there and would choose to skip this stop and maybe find something less famous but more authentic. All in all we were very satisfied with the organisation from the tour operator's side and especially with everything that had to do with how Bob accompanied and led our group :-) Overall the tour itself is very much "on the beaten path" and feels a little bit too overrun. Nonetheless, it was good value for money (especially considering that food was supplied and it really takes the whole day ~ 10-11 hours from leaving the hostel to arriving back at the door) and our guide made it feel personal whatsoever.

Our tour guide, My, was amazing and very friendly. She was very informative and experienced. My friends and I got lost as we were riding the bikes, and she was able to locate us and bring us back to the tour group.
