While the region south of Saigon has been overwhelmed with mass tourism over the years, we have meticulously created an immersive and intimate experience that provides a different perspective of the authentic rural Vietnamese way of life. Set off from downtown Saigon as you embark on a water journey to take in the stunning scenery up close and catch a glimpse of small-village life along the river. Marvel at life as it unfolds in some of the most fascinating destinations, including a local riverside market, a Cao Dai temple and a Buddhist pagoda. Besides, taking a sampan boat across a small scenic canal, cycling through the tranquil countryside and engaging with hospitable locals are among the delights of a trip to the Delta. Itinerary
7:30AM, be picked up from the hotel at district 1, 3 or 4 for a transfer to the central pier. Embark on a speedboat onward to Mekong Delta and capture a glimpse of Vietnam's diverse landscape, from busy commercial centre to peaceful rural life along the riverbank. Visit a local riverside market and soak up its bustling atmosphere. Take a leisurely bicycle ride along a serene countryside trail to witness the idyllic pace of daily life in the Delta and experience the warm hospitality of the locals. Stop en-route to visit a local Cao Dai temple and visit a local family who crafts traditional rice wine to learn about the brewing process. Keep on the boat ride to the Delta to enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch. Board a tuk-tuk to visit a Buddhist pagoda built in the 18th century. Take a sampan boat along a scenic canal lined with freshwater mangroves and water coconut palms. Get on a speedboat to return to Saigon. 5:30PM, arrive back to the pier and be dropped off at the hotel.

We had THE MOST INCREDIBLE day with Fisheye Speedboat Travels in Vietnam. This company and activity deserves the highest of praise and recommendation! The communication leading up to the trip was flawless. Sandy answered all my many emails with patience and excellent information. Our tour guide, JP, was just beyond wonderful. He is personable, kind and extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of what you will see. He also knows how to give “down time” from the info and just let you enjoy. This tour, for us, was 100% free of the “tourist trap” stops. Not one time did we feel pressured to buy anything. We were just there to learn and enjoy the wonderful culture of the Mekong Delta. We had an excellent day with Fish Eye Travel and highly recommend this tour, especially for families. JP was a fantastic guide. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and made a real effort to connect with our kids (ages 11, 9,8 & 6 years) throughout the day, which made such a difference on a long tour. We combined both the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels in one day, and it was very well organised from start to finish. The Mekong experience was a highlight, especially visiting the local village and getting around on the electric scooters. Seeing everything from the river by boat was also well worth it and gave a completely different perspective of Vietnam. Doing the Cu Chi Tunnels in the afternoon meant fewer crowds, and JP still managed to keep it interesting and enjoyable for all of us, adults and kids alike. Overall, an excellent tour with a great balance of culture, history, fun and comfort. Definitely worth booking if you’re travelling with children.

Absolutely loved this tour. Best way to start our travels of Vietnam. Loved the speedboat was so much better and cooler than been stuck in traffic. Our tour guide JP was so knowledgeable and very helpful. We visited local village which was such an experience. I will never forget this trip could not recommended high enough if you like to learn about the war as well as experience the culture. The addition of scooters was also a fun touch!

We didn’t want to take the bus to visit the Meekong & Ci Chu tunnels, so when I came across Fisheye speedboat tours, I jumped at the chance! The speedboat was an added adventure in itself! You get to see so much along the Meekong, the city buildings, the locals working, it’s such an experience. It was a fun filled day, so well organised & our guide was awesome! If you want a different experience with added adventure, Fisheye speedboat tours is the way to go!

My husband and I had an amazing day with JP doing the full day tour . We were collected from our hotel by him and driven to the port where our speed boat was waiting. We enjoyed pastries and fruit during the hour plus journey to the tunnels arriving in good time to beat the crowds. JP then gave us an excellent and informative tour of the entire area and explained everything clearly. He guided us through the tunnels and took photos as we emerged. Then we went by boat to a beautiful island resto for delicious lunch. After lunch he took us to the Mekong Delta where we enjoyed tranquil tea with a villager, idyllic punt on the water, scooter to local and authentic market, visit to extraordinary church and rice/rice wine making families. All felt very remote and peaceful and away from the crowds JP was very knowledgeable about everything and was a charming guide so would highly recommend this trip!

This truly is an excellent experience. Top quality guide who was knowledgeable, friendly and good company. My parents and I did the full day tour. It was fantastic. From crawling through the tunnels to firing an AK47, then riding on a Sampan through the serene Mekong delta to scootering through rice fields, JP our guide was sensational. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend this tour and JP himself.
