Discover the best of Marlborough wine country on a relaxed and enjoyable half-day wine tour hosted by passionate local guides. Your experience begins with complimentary pickup from your Blenheim accommodation approximately 15 minutes before departure. Over approximately 4 hours, you will visit a selection of premium Marlborough cellar doors, beginning with an award-winning vineyard restaurant and cellar door where you will enjoy a guided wine tasting before relaxing over lunch amongst the vines. Lunch is at your own cost. Following lunch, enjoy tastings at two additional cellar doors featuring Marlborough’s internationally renowned wines. Our tours focus on quality over quantity, creating a relaxed, social, and informative experience. All standard cellar door tasting fees are included, and time permitting, your guide will also share insights into vineyard management and the Marlborough wine industry.

Starting your experience at one of Marlborough's award winning Winery Restaurants, your a la carte menu will be accompanied with their Reserve Tasting or a glass of wine of your choice, the afternoon will then be enjoying another 2 Cellar Door experiences. With wine in mind your will be enjoying the vineyard views and vines, the fun of fellow travellers and the stories that will make your day a feast for your senses.

We are unable to collect from out side central Blenheim areas on our Afternoon Half Day Tour, these areas include; Havelock, Picton, Dillon's Point, Rarangi, Taylor Dam, please check via email directly to Discovery Wine Tours. This tour is not suitable for guests arriving to Marlborough via cruise ship's Port Marlborough Picton

Had a wonderful time on the Discovery Wine tour. The service from Tony our tour guide was excellent from pick up to drop off. On a very rainy day in Blenheim it was a real bonus to be picked up and dropped off at the door. We visited 3 wineries where we sampled a variety of wines, (also visited a cheese shop and chocolate factory) there was no hard sell or rush and the whole afternoon was a joy. Such was also delicious. The whole experience was improved by Tony our guide who was personable and interesting, and was pitched at just tge right speed.
Tony was a fantastic guide. He even did a little detour to a bakery so we could pick up lamingtons. It was much appreciated! What a really fun day. I highly recommend this tour.

We joined the tour on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Kevin was our driver and guide for the day, was very knowledgeable and looked after us all very well. We felt the tour was good value for money. You pay extra for lunch but that was made clear at the time of booking and again by Kevin at the start of the tour. We spent a very enjoyable 4 hours visiting 3 vineyards around the Blenheim area and a bonus visit to a chocolate factory where we had a little tasting. We had a wine tasting with lunch at Saint Clair which was delicious. Lunch was outside sitting in the sunshine. This was followed by a visit to Gibson Bridge where we had a tasting led by the very informative owner of the winery. Our final stop of the day was at Whitehaven which was also very enjoyable. All in all a great afternoon, thank you.

Excellent wine tour with lots of great insights from our guide Kevin. The lunch at Saint Clair Family estate was spectacular. Everyone in our group loved their meal.
Kevin picked us up in his mini van and introduced us to our group for the afternoon. We then began our tour of three cellar doors and even had a bonus trip to the chocolate factory We had a delicious lunch sitting in the sunshine drinking wine…perfect! He was so knowledgeable and made the afternoon such fun Would highly recommend
We had a fantastic day with Discovery Wine Tours and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marlborough. The tour was a very small group, which made the experience relaxed and personal. Lunch at St Clair was excellent and a perfect stop during the day. One of our favorite discoveries was Gibson Bridge Winery, a tiny boutique winery we never would have found on our own. Their Pinot Gris was outstanding and one of the best wines we tasted. A big thank you to Tony, our driver, who was personable, knowledgeable, and made the day run smoothly. We loved every winery we visited and came away with several new favorites. A wonderful experience!
