An overall good experience.

Crocodiles are the main attraction. Some birds to see as well. Very expensive for what you get. However, the guide is very informative and to be able to get up close and even hold a crocodile is great.

Croc park tour

The bus ride to the Croc park was very noisey and the seating was not the most comfortable. Unfortunately, there were so many people to pick up from other hotels and some of those were not on time which delayed the transit to the park. We arrived late and only got to see half of the main croc feeding show. The croc park was ok, but could benefit from much better signage within the park. The guy doing the feeding was knowledgable and kept us entertained.

Happy Snappy Crocodiles

Whilst the tour started late, which meant we missed the first half of the feeding session at the main billabong, it was not the fault of the tour company or the Crocodile park, as there were roadworks and a lot of traffic. When we did arrive it was really good, as there were other opportunities to view hungry crocodiles being feed. The park is well set up, with lots of very large specimens to get up close with. The opportunity to hold some baby crocodiles is always a favourite, especially with my wife. This is a great way to see prehistoric animals at the top of their food chain, safely. Well worth the short drive out of Broome.

Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Refuge

I had Robyn who was very personable and a fantastic guide sharing her knowledge about Broome and the Crocodile Refuge. At the park i had Fraser and learnt a lot of interesting facts about crocodiles. I also got to hold a baby crocodile. An amazing afternoon and definitely worth the visit.

Operator response

Hi Fiona, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your afternoon with Robyn and Fraser. One of the things we love most about our Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park Tour is combining the fascinating stories of Broome with the opportunity to get up close to some of Australia's most incredible wildlife. We're so pleased Robyn helped bring Broome's history and character to life on the journey, and that Fraser shared his passion and knowledge of crocodiles during your visit to the park. Holding a baby crocodile is certainly a memorable experience and one of the highlights for many of our guests! Thank you again for choosing Broome and Around. We agree that Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park is a must-do Broome experience and we're thrilled you found it well worth the visit. A Bitting experience

We booked our tour with the visitors centre who suggested Broome and around. We were picked up on time and were given ample time to look around along with the parks guide gave us a real insight into the life of a crocodile. One of the most interesting fact we found out about crocodiles is that they can desalinate salt water

20th anniversary in Broome

Broome is a beautiful place to go. Although most of the activities we had planned were cancelled due to cyclone Narelle, the Malcom Douglas Crocodile Park was enthralling. We got to hold a baby crocodile and experience some huge saltwater crocs being fed. There was plenty of information to take in and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Operator response

Great caring service

Our cruise ship docked late due to tidal issues, leading us to be late for our pick up time for our tour. The tour company kept in touch with us through out the ordeal of trying to get off the ship and finding our pick up place. Once we arrived at our pick up point the tour company sent a driver to come and pick us up so we could experience our tour. Rightfully they could have cut us loose since we were late and kept our fee, but instead they did everything they could to accommodate us.

Operator response

Hi Norine, Thank you so much for your beautiful review — it truly means a lot to our team. 💛 We understand how stressful those cruise delays can be, so we’re absolutely delighted to hear that our team was able to stay in touch and make sure you didn’t miss out on your experience. Going the extra mile to look after our guests is exactly what we strive for, and your kind words really highlight that. We’re so pleased we could turn a challenging situation into a memorable and enjoyable tour for you — that’s what it’s all about. Thank you again for travelling with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Broome in the future! Warm regards, Candy and the Broome & Around Team
