Beautiful landscapes give rise to a varied vegetation. In the reserve there is a one-hour walk where you can see flora and fauna. This was a wonderful tour to learn about Punta Arenas and enjoy a bit of nature. Nicholas is a very knowledgeable and personable guide! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Thank you for your comments, Kelly.
A short but interesting tour. The highlights of Punta Arenas are visited in this tour. My tour guide was extremely dedicated and could give me a lot of additional information.

This is a nice tour around the Punta Arenas area. It includes a peaceful and informative hike through the beautiful forest preserve close to town (about 2 hours) and an informative tour through town. Our guide Nicolas was a very fun and amazing young man. A source of many local stories (Ghost & otherwise), and a learned study of local politics and history. We enjoyed the tour and the discussions with Nicolas very much. Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a look at the local Punta Arenas area and some great talks about the local history!

We have used TripAdvisor 17 times, many in the last year alone, this was completely botched by the operator. After waiting an hour for a no-show pickup, we found an email sent late the night before rescheduling the 8:30 pickup to 10, which completely messed up our day plans. We called at 10:10 when still a no-show, and were told our trip was moved to 11 for their convenience! So we left on our own city tour, missing a trip to the reserve we really wanted to go on, and then later had the operator state he showed up at 10:30. Never before had a poor experience like this with TripAdvisor.
Unfortunately, you didn't check your WhatsApp messages. The guide informed you that the tour would depart at 10:30, and you didn't wait. It was also reported on the platform that the tour had been changed from 8:30 to 10:00, but you arrived early despite the change in schedule. Today we learned that you messaged our guide thinking he was the guide for your new tour in Iguazu! We sincerely ask that you be more organized with your contacts and check your WhatsApp messages carefully.
The tour of Nicholas home in Puenta Arenas was very nice. Some confusion when we had to change from small group to private but didn’t mind paying $50 more at all. Didn’t care for the organizer tour agent demanding we get to their tour asap. We got #19 in a tender boat slip and had to explain over and over that we have NO control of when the ship starts tender operations or how many suite guest can get off before us. Communicated every moment of the way but she should understand we couldn’t go any faster. Anyway Nicholas and driver waiting for us as we came off the dock and away we went to the National Park. Nicholas was very informative and listen well to our needs. We picked a trail that older persons could manage very easily and he gave us a lot of knowledge about the flora and fauna. The area was beautiful and offered great views back toward the city. We then drove around the area & town. We stopped where we wished for pictures then went to their huge cities cemetery and walked the area. All the time Nicolás explained their culture and values. He dropped us off in town where we requested & gave us instructions how to walk back to the ship. It was an enjoyable visit.
When you book this tour as a regular tour and there's no minimum number of people, you can make it private by paying the difference. Thank you for your feedback.
Nice tour of the city and short hike through a forest reserve. Our guide was well informed and personable. We enjoyed the trip.
Thank you for your comments.
We had the perfect guide with Nicolas. He was able to tell many interesting stories about the past and present and accompanied us on a beautiful hike through the national park. In a small group of four it was a very successful trip from the ship. After that we could still see the city.
Danke
The trek in the park was fabulous. The City tour was kind of a wing and a prayer. Not organized or thought out. The driver seemed in prepared. The Guide knew his stuff.
Thank you very much for your comments.
We started with visiting cemetery, which was quite unique and interesting. Nicolas was able to give a good overview of the history and a walking tour. This history helps to understand the history of the city. Next we went to the National Forest Reserve and hiked to 2 viewpoints for about 2 hours. We saw a number of different birds and Nicolas was well-informed about the trees unique to this area. Nicolas arranged our schedule to avoid rain which started after the hike. We enjoyed the details that Nicolas shared so we learned about unique aspects of Punto Arenas and surroundings. From the beginning when he picked us up on time through the whole tour he made sure the tour was interesting to us and a good value.
We appreciate the details in your comments.
We really enjoyed our hike with our guide. The views were incredible, but the walk wasn’t the easiest. The tour of the city was very informative.
Thank you
