Beautiful, clean city, a bit chaotic but well served by public transport, with 10 metro lines, etc. It would take 10 days to visit properly, unfortunately I only had 4 days. A great hotel, HARTIEM, with a fantastic director and staff, a 4-star hotel that is worth every bit; plus, they offer free beer, juices, sandwiches, pastries, a coffee machine, and herbal teas 24/7. This had never happened to me before. I wholeheartedly recommend it. A bit in the northwest suburbs. But with very close public transport options.
Our guide was Sarah and we did the guided tour of the Del Prado Museum. It was excellent the visit by the great guide we had. He conveyed a lot of information to us in a pleasant and passionate way. Really all 10 points.
Bad experience. When I booked the tour it said it lasted 5 hours: guided tour Retreat Park + Del Prado Museum. Arriving at 10:00 am to the meeting point tells us the guide (with very bad attitude and high-handedness) that it will be 1.5 hours at that time only park of the retreat and the visit to the museum will be until 4:00 pm. We had a reservation to eat just after the 5 hrs that the tour marked so we requested to visit the museum before. There was no way to move the visit to the museum, they would not refund our money and we had to buy other tickets
Amanda was my tour guide for both El Retiro Park and the Prado. As a guide she is expert in bothe the park and the Prado and provides engaging story telling in these two very different venues. I am very glad I booked tours. I had wandered around the Prado a few days earlier which was a good thing to do. On my own I absorbed some of what I was seeing while the tour provides focus on the masterpieces of the Prado.
Dear Andrew, Thank you very much for your review. We are very happy to read that you enjoyed your visit. Kind regards
The guide very friendly and cultured. I explain a lot about the works of the Museum, it was an enriching experience. Pity you can't take pictures inside
Reuben, the Guide, very didactic and friendly with a great knowledge of art and also history. I liked the system: some pictures (the + representative) are explained for a while (2h30) and then general explanations are given so that tourists who want to go freely where they are interested. The only thing that did NOT convince me was that the majority of Guides (minus mine) wore a microphone and headphones which allowed greater freedom of movement to the tourists and better listening to the explanations of the guide because everyone listened to the information with headphones. The Prado is crowded and there are times when you can hear absolutely nothing no matter how hard the Guide tries to raise his voice.
Amanda was a great guide. 1) Change the print of the meeting place.Simple, entrance to the park! 2) should have been clear at the time of booking that the park tour is at 10am and the museum tour at 4:15pm !!!
Thank you very much for your comment. We are very happy to read that you enjoyed your visit. We will pass your message to Amanda. We hope to see you soon!
Excellent service!! The guide Beni made the experience wonderful, very professional and passionate about art, congratulations!!
We really enjoyed the visit, and the anecdotes and detailed explanations that our guide Ismael provided us. It was a little short, but we were able to continue on our own afterwards.
A very pleasant learning and entertainment experience. Guide Andrea, an excellent communicator, with extensive knowledge. Great enjoyment on this occasion. All the fast procedures, timely suggestions, finally a very enjoyed walk.
