What an amazing experience we had thanks to 57 hours, CrossOver Peru and our lovely guide Luz Mabel! Visiting Peru was a dream that came true. And we lived indeed dreamy moments, more beautiful that we could ever have expected! Our trip was already carefully scheduled without us even knowing about it...Two of our friends had contacted already in April 2025 57hours.com in order to arrange a personalised trip for them in Peru. Then, my childhood friend and I jumped over in September 2025 when we found out about that trip that seemed to us too far away, even as a thought. The communication with 57hours (more specifically with Chris and Ivano) and their partners in Cusco, CrossOver Peru (more specifically Lidman) was excellent during the planning. After landing to Cusco, we were warmly welcomed by Roland, a fantastic guy who even arranged for us, in collaboration with the excellent driver, to find in a local market a very rare old camera cable we were missing as it was in the suitcase that had not yet arrived. Many thanks about that! We were taken to a beautiful little hotel near the centre of Cusco, named Mamasara. Our adventure started the next day when our guide, Luz Mabel visited us in the hotel and started giving us all the necessary information about our tour. What a lovely and kind woman she was! We began to acclimatise to the altitude by taking a warm up hike to San Cristóbal and then some walking in the center of Cusco. The next day was dedicated to the Sacred Valley and we visited the Pisaq Inca Archeological site. Wow, what an introduction to the Inca culture and what we were about to see in the coming days. The Machu Picchu wonder! I will never forget that day! We were the first people to enter and we saw the citadel just like on a postcard. So beautiful!!! Luz Mabel was exceptional in explaining to us all the history of this place and the culture around it. And as if was not already perfect, we climbed the Huayna Picchu mountain. We did it! It took us around an hour and Luz Mabel was supporting and encouraging us during that difficult climbing. The view and the calmness from up there brought me pure happiness. The day after we lived another unforgettable journey, the one to the Rainbow Mountain. Even though I am not a regular hiker, I had no issues at all, probably thanks to the great advice and tips of our guide. We are truly grateful for this trip and we feel we have a family there when we wish to come back. Hopefully soon!
I had the pleasure of having Judith Pariguana as our guide during our visit to Machu Picchu, and she was exceptional. Her knowledge of the history, culture, and significance of the site was remarkable, and she brought the ancient city to life with her storytelling. Judith’s passion for sharing the history and beauty of Machu Picchu made the experience unforgettable. She was also incredibly attentive to our group’s needs, ensuring everyone felt engaged and comfortable throughout the tour. I highly recommend Judith as a guide for anyone looking to have a truly immersive and enriching experience at Machu Picchu.
Definitely I made a right decision to book the tour with Crossover Peru. One day before the tour, Kevin my guide came to my hotel to explain all important information about the tour. Since I was the only visitor who booked Machu Picchu Mountain hike after Machu Picchu visit, Kevin accompanied me for the whole day, climbed the mountain together with me. It became a total private tour. Kevin is very nice, friendly, and informative guide. I had a unforgettable experience with Kevin and Crossover Peru!
Thanks, Sean! for coming to MachuPicchu and Peru and also to travel with us!
