Discover one of the 7 wonders of the world, Machu Picchu, on this exciting one-day excursion that begins with your arrival in the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, Cusco. You will travel through the high Andean mountains and the mysterious cloud forests aboard a train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes. From there, you will head to the ancient citadel upon your arrival in the former Inca capital to explore the ruins with the assistance of our professional guide, who will narrate its history and significance for the Incas. You will also have free time to explore the town of Aguas Calientes.

Itinerary
Early in the morning, as agreed, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Ollantaytambo train station, from where we will head to Aguas Calientes.
After an almost 2-hour journey from Ollantaytambo, we will arrive at the Aguas Calientes station, where our guide will be waiting for you with a sign with your name.
Then, we will go to the bus stop, where we will ascend for 30 minutes and 400 meters along a zigzagging path to reach the "Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu," also known as the "Lost City of the Incas." Upon arriving at the Machu Picchu citadel, we will begin the guided tour, accompanied by our guide. For approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, we will visit the most important sites in Machu Picchu.
After the guided tour, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you can enjoy your lunch at one of the many restaurants or, if you prefer, at the Sanctuary Lodge (lunch on your own). In the late afternoon, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, following the same route as on the way there.

Our experience with Peru Grand Travel throughout the trip through Peru was impeccable. All the activities were very well organized and we didn't have to worry about anything, just to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. The guide Carmen accompanied us on our visit to Machu Picchu. He did the whole script giving various explanations, always calmly and even took beautiful photos for us!

We made the tour to Machu Picchu and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The guide demonstrated an impressive knowledge, explaining the history and details of the place in a clear and engaging way, which made all the difference in the visit. In addition, the travel operator was extremely attentive, always providing quick and efficient support before and during the ride, which brought a lot of tranquility to the whole experience.
