The Montreal location has the worst customer service. The woman on Saturday August 1 at 3:00pm checkin should be released from her position. She is not empathetic to customers and is rude. I would not tell anyone to go to this place because of her.
The air conditioning is so noisy it sounds like there is gravel in the ducks. One in a while it stops and you can talk. it's not a gallery setting if feels more like a garage.
It goes beyond the images of illusions and architecture, also showing a fantastic bestiary and Escher's artistic journey in numerous engravings and just enough immersive rooms. Disappointing gift shop, however; too much useless stationery. I would have liked to find cups, plates, scarves, ties, or bags there, and magnets less banal than a macaron.
The audio helps to provide more information. But the display of the numbers should be more visible. We were missing a few numbers.
Excellent exhibit. Interactive and fascinating. Something for the whole family. We were fascinated by Escher's history and growth as an artist. I have always loved Escher's work so it was particularly exciting to see his early works and how they evolved. It's a very big exhibit with so much to do and look at. Worth it! We were only in Montreal for a couple days, so it was definitely the highlight of my weekend.
Good Exhibition, with a few fun interactive moments and a lovely installation. Worth the ticket price.
Located right in the heart of the city, on top of the Jazz Fest action! My family and I loved every minute of the exhibition. The interactive parts were almost as cool as Escher's incredible works themselves. What a trip!!! 😀
