This Buddha image is especially revered among the Chinese community, who refer to it as 'Sam Po Hud Kong' or 'Sam Po Kong.' This alignment acts like a marker, indicating the elliptical, retrograde path of the sun when viewed in a two-dimensional plane, following ancient astronomical concepts.

Beautiful boat ride.

Seeing the city at night by boat is worth it. Very beautiful. Food on the boat was average. Band was good. Buffet was poorly managed. Everyone comes at one time and lots of crowding and pushing. There are much better ways to control crowds sending people to buffet by table number. No need for a guide. Our guide was no help at all. Take the train to Icon Siam and buy your ticket yourself and save some money. Taking the train will save traffic time. Our guide had us arrive at Icon Siam an hour early. No mention of this in Viator materials.

Operator response

Dear Don_M, We appreciate you sharing your feedback. While we’re pleased you enjoyed the nighttime views and entertainment, we understand your concerns about the buffet management and guide experience. The cruise buffet and its management are not under our direct control, but we will gladly share your comments with the cruise operator so they can work on improving this matter. Regarding the early arrival, Bangkok traffic during that period is usually very congested, and we want to ensure guests can board the cruise on time. On your travel date, the traffic was lighter than usual, which led to arriving earlier than intended. We are sorry for any inconvenience this caused. Your suggestions regarding crowd control, timing, and the guide are valuable, and we will review them with our team to improve future services. Warm regards, Thailand Insight Travel and team

Best Table, Best Views, Best Night — Book This Dinner Cruise

We had such a great time on the dinner cruise. Lin picked us up right on time and Kevin, our driver, was super professional. Both of them spoke great English, which made everything smooth and easy. They were friendly, helpful, and really added to the experience. Once we got to the boat, we were given the best table on board—closest to the food and with the perfect view. That’s exactly what you want. The whole evening felt seamless and well-organized. If you’re going to book a dinner cruise, this is how it should be done.

Operator response

Dear Kyla, Thank you for the lovely feedback! We're so glad Lin and Kevin made your evening smooth and enjoyable. It’s great to hear everything went so well. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again soon! Best regards, Thailand Insight Travel and guide Lin
