Drive to the west bank for about 45 minutes, enjoy the Nile scenery and views of the green farms and the countryside of Luxor all the way.
Arrive at Madinat Habu, located at the southern end of the Theban Necropolis, where the first labor strike in history against their king Ramesses III was launched. This memorial temple of Ramesses III is one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt and surrounded by a massive mud-brick enclosure wall, which may have been fortified. Marvel at a royal palace, temples, and a series of wall carvings that depict memorial scenes and Ramesses III’s defeat of the Sea Peoples.
Continue to the Ramesseum, the memorial temple of Pharaoh Ramesses II. It is located in the Theban necropolis in Upper Egypt, across the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor. Explore the mortuary temple that was built by Pharaoh Ramesses II, from the king’s massive, 62-foot (19-mt) memorial statue to a series of intricate reliefs depicting battles and festival scenes
Then, continue to Deir El Madina known as the Valley of the Workers at the northern end of the Theban Necropolis. It is an ancient village which was home to the artisans who worked on the tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the 18th to 20th dynasties of the New Kingdom period(1550-1080B.C). Enjoy the colorful workers family tombs with their vivid and impressive paintings.

Excellent visit to Medinat Habu, Deir-el-Medina and the Ramasseum with Owf, our guide, and Amr, our driver. Owf was extremely knowledgeable and good company, keen to share his insights to build on what we'd already seen. Arrangements were straightforward with Owf contacting us the day before to confirm, and Amr arriving to collect us on time and very friendly.
We began our tour from the time of our pickup & both the driver & guide we're on time, sharp! Very cordial, accommodating and pleasant. The journey began at Medina Habu (Ramseus III) and it was just amazing. Mr.Hatem really took the sincere initiative to explain the details of the temple, especially when he understood how important it was to us. Then we to Medina El Deir and again it was an extraordinary experience. Wow - just in awe with the context of history and wonders of the ancient Egyptians!!! We took a break at an Alabaster House of goods - it was also a nice - fun experience because it allowed us to interact with the locals without having to be pressured into buying souvenirs. It was a Terrific 👍 bathroom/drink break. Our trip ended with the Ramseus II Temple and it was again Very historic and instrumental in knowing the facts... very very interesting and valuable for the purpose of our trip. And once again Mr.Hatem took extra care & effort in making sure he guided us with the historical facts. That was it and we also appreciated the smiles and warmth of our driver Mr.Mahmoud - Very gracious and accommodating. If we were able to do it again, we would do so. Furthermore, we appreciated the professional support and follow up from the back office, ensuring that our guide was handled properly. Thanks a whole Bunch. Viva Egypt 🙏
A useful 'mopping up' of west bank sites, especially the Ramesseum which is off most tourist intineraries. The guide was particularly knowledgeable at the fantastic Deir El Medina, allowing time for photographs too. The Ramesseum visit did however feel a little rushed
