Your day begins with pickup from your Luxor hotel by our professional Egyptologist guide. Cross the Nile to the West Bank, where your exploration of the Theban Necropolis begins. The Valley of the Kings is home to the tombs of more than 60 New Kingdom pharaohs, including powerful rulers like Ramses II, Seti I, and the boy king Tutankhamun. Delve into three handpicked tombs (included in your ticket), admiring vivid wall paintings that depict scenes of the afterlife, sacred rituals, and the journey to immortality. For those interested in visiting the famous Tomb of Tutankhamun, access is available for an additional fee. Your guide will share intriguing facts about burial customs, mummification, and the discovery of these incredible sites.
Next, you'll head to the dramatic cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, where the awe-inspiring Temple of Hatshepsut rises in harmony with the surrounding mountains. This unique structure was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's few and most successful female pharaohs. We had a fabulous time visiting the 3 temples on the West Bank. We had Safy as our tour person, and she was extremely informative. She was very professional and answered all our questions.
