A brilliant tour. Very interesting. Make sure you bring water, a cap and sun cream as it gets very, very hot. Be sure to keep up with your guide as people will try to sell you all sorts of things. Our guide gave us detailed and accurate information about everything. Top-notch guidance. He spoke perfect English. Pick-up from the hotel, a bottle of water and a perfect lunch. Roshdy Our guide was brilliant, professional and very friendly. Highly recommended. Thank you, Roshdy, for a wonderful day. Thanks also to our driver, who drove like a pro. Roshdy was a great guide. He was so knowledgeable and provided a great historical overview as well as was able to answer highly detailed questions. The pace of the tour was exactly right. Everything went extremely well. We take a lot of tours in a lot of countries. Having the right guide makes a huge difference - I would highly recommend Roshdy.
The tour/trip to Luxor was amazing. Roshdy Khodary was our guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable, fair and respectful. He made sure we had an excellent day. 10/10
Our tour guide Roshdy gave us a full day of amazing adventures and history of Luxor's West Bank. We had Roshdy for 8 hours and he shared great stories, took good care of us and we had lots of fun. This was a great tour!
Luxor - what a place! Our guide today is called Salma, I was very impressed by her knowledge, her energy despite the heat and she showed us places from Karnak, Hatshepsunt's Temple, Valley of Kings and Luxor Temple. We had such a good time in her company. Thanks Salma. Recommend both the visit and also this guide.
Completely overpriced. If you buy the ticket prices on site, you don't even pay half. You can get a taxi driver without much negotiating who will drive you around all day for the equivalent of 17€. The guide was very well-read, but did not come into the temples and tombs with us. In other words: you could only make use of his expertise between the locations. In the end, he also asked for a tip because he is apparently paid very poorly by the company. In general, the tombs are all structured the same way - once you have seen 1-2, you have seen them all. On site, there are a lot of guys who tell you things about the structures without being asked and offer themselves as photographers - in the end, they all demand money. I recommend ordering a taxi on site for 1000 EGP (payment, of course, afterwards) and always buying the tickets on site. That is also no extra effort at all.
We can recommend the day trip to Luxor with TUI without reservation. A very special thank you goes to Youssef for the recommendation and to our tour guide Mahmud, who made this day a real highlight of our Egypt vacation. The journey itself was excellently organized. The comfortable tour bus with plenty of space made even the early departure pleasant, and we felt well taken care of and safe at all times throughout the day. Mahmud guided us through the history of ancient Egypt with great enthusiasm and impressive knowledge. At the same time, he gave us many exciting insights into life today, the culture, and everyday life in Egypt. In this way, the trip became far more than just a tour of ancient structures. The sights themselves far exceeded our expectations. The Temple of Hatshepsut, in its location in front of the steep cliffs of the Theban Mountains, simply looks overwhelming. In the Valley of the Kings, the history of the pharaohs suddenly became tangible, and the Karnak Temple with its massive columned halls, obelisks, and colorful reliefs left us absolutely speechless. These places look impressive in pictures – but in reality, they are much larger, more monumental, and surprisingly colorful than we had imagined. The crossing of the Nile and the well-coordinated organization of the entire day also perfectly rounded off the experience. Many thanks to Youssef and especially to Mahmud for this unforgettable day. Anyone vacationing in Marsa Alam or the surrounding area who wants to learn something about the fascinating history and culture of Egypt should not miss this excursion.
Our Tour guide Roshdy khodary was THE BEST! We were a group of 9 people and his patience plus organization made us have an amazing experience in Luxor, plus it was my birthday and he organized an amazing lunch with nice details and presents. You must book him to get the best experience.
Roshdy aka Mr. Bombastic was a wonderful tour guide filled with knowledge and was very accommodating! He answered all of our questions and gave us time to explore all locations after telling us the history behind every site.
We had a group of 5 and booked a custom tour with Luxor and Aswan Tours. Our experience was an unforgettable trip and our days were a good balance of history, fun, shopping and down time. One of our favorite memories from the trip was sailing on the Nile at sunset! The Luxor portion of our trip was made so much better by our incredible tour guide Ahmed. He was so patient with our group (we had a few food allergies that required some navigation), genuinely loved to share his knowledge, and added a few impromptu spots during our days that were not originally on our itinerary. One bit of feedback for the Luxor portion that guests would like to know: when we flew into Luxor we had to get ready in the airport bathroom for the day… we began our day by leaving for the Cairo airport at 3:30 am, landed around 8:00 am, got ready at the airport, toured all day, then finally were able to check into our hotel early evening. We made the best of that situation and were grateful for our well thought out itinerary, but it would have gone smoother if we knew ahead of time and were able to prepare ourselves and our packed luggage to be more easily accessible for getting ready in the airport.
