The Monument of Remembrance, usually known by the nickname of the Gëlle Fra (Luxembourgish for 'Golden Lady'), is a war memorial in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. It is dedicated to the thousands of Luxembourgers who volunteered for service in the armed forces of the Allied Powers during both World Wars and the Korean War. Notre-Dame Cathedral is the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. It was originally a Jesuit church, and its cornerstone was laid in 1613. It is the only cathedral in Luxembourg. Here you will have to look around to find the answer to a question to advance to the new location and learn the story of this place. It's fun. The Place d'Armes is a square in Luxembourg City in the south of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Centrally placed in the old town, it attracts large numbers of locals and visitors, especially in the summer months. It originally served as a parade ground for the troops defending the city.
Located on Jan Pallach Square, this historic monument was erected to pay homage to the two national poets Dicks (1823-1891) and Michel Lentz (1820-1893), who wrote the words of the national anthem. The monument is topped by a lion, the heraldic animal of the Grand Duchy, while the blacksmith incarnates the steel industry. The pillar contains a chiselled inscription, the wording of which is the motto of the Luxembourgers: “Mir wëlle bleiwe wat mir sin” (we want to remain what we are). Place Guillaume II is a town square in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The square lies to the west of Krautmaart and to the north of Boulevard Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the heart of Luxembourg's historic Ville Haute quarter. It is colloquially known as Knuedler, from the Luxembourgish language's word for 'knot', referring to the knot in the belt worn by Franciscan friars. The western half of the square is dominated by Luxembourg City Hall in the southwest, whilst the equestrian statue to former Grand Duke William II, after whom the square is named, is the prominent feature of the eastern half.[1] Much of the square is ringed with trees, narrowing the open area (particularly around the statue).
The monument to Grand Duchess Charlotte is a bronze statue designed by the French sculptor Jean Cardot (* 1930) and placed on Clairefontaine Square in 1990 in honor of the former Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg (1895–1985), sovereign from 1919 to 1964 was established in Luxembourg (city) . Officially inaugurated on April 29, 1990 in the presence of the grand ducal family, the 2.75 m high work of art stands on a flat, round base, which in turn rests on a plate-shaped base. The figure, executed in simplified forms, is shown wrapped in a wide cloak from which the right arm protrudes with the palm of the hand turned to the sky as if in greeting. Since this gesture could also be interpreted as a begging hand, the monument is also nicknamed " Heeschefraa " (beggar woman) in the vernacular .
The Grand Ducal Palace is a palace in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. It is the official residence of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, and where he performs most of his duties as head of state of the Grand Duchy. The building was first the city hall of Luxembourg from 1572 to 1795, the seat of the prefecture of the Département des Forêts in 1795, and then the headquarters of the Luxembourg Government in 1817.
It is the oldest holy building in the city, replacing the castle chapel of the Counts of Luxembourg placed on the same site in 987. In the course of the centuries the church was destroyed several times, but always reconstructed, altered and extended. Its present appearance goes back to 1688, although it was of course restored in the 60s and the 80s. In view of its turbulent history, it combines elements of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architecture. Here you will have to look around to find the answer to a question to advance to the new location and learn the story of this place. It's fun. You will love it:)
Also called “the most beautiful balcony of Europe” (according to the Luxembourg writer Batty Weber), it runs along the Alzette valley on the ramparts - built by the Spaniards and the French in the 17th century - from the Bock Promontory up to the lower part of the Holy Ghost Citadel, the so-called “Rondellen”. Up to the year 1870 the Corniche had staircases in steep parts which were levelled off only after the dismantling of the fortress. Moreover the greatest part of the protecting wall with its loopholes was cleared away so as to disclose a superb panorama on the valley of the Alzette, the city district of Grund and the Rham Plateau. Here you will have to look around to find the answer to a question to advance to the new location and learn the story of this place. It's fun. You will love it:)
One of the most popular restaurants in Luxembourg City with over 4* reviews of Tripadvisor
Melusine (French: [melyzin]) or Melusina is a figure of European folklore and mythology, a female spirit of freshwater in a sacred spring or river. She is usually depicted as a woman who is a serpent or fish from the waist down (much like a mermaid). She is also sometimes illustrated with wings, two tails, or both. Her legends are especially connected with the northern and western areas of France, Luxembourg, and the Low Countries. The House of Luxembourg (which ruled the Holy Roman Empire from AD 1308 to AD 1437 as well as Bohemia and Hungary), the House of Anjou and their descendants the House of Plantagenet (kings of England) and the French House of Lusignan (kings of Cyprus from AD 1205–1472, and for shorter periods over Armenia and Jerusalem) are said in folk tales and medieval literature to be descended from Melusine.
The tour ends on a bridge above the Alzette River. Here you will have to look around to find the answer to a question to advance to the new location and learn the story of this place. It's fun. You will love it:)

The best trip ever ❤️ I will do'it again
Thank you for the amazing review! I am so glad our game helped you discover all the best spots in Luxembourg. We hope you will explore another city with us soon!
It was a fun idea to have a nice romantic tour through Luxemburg with a story so we could explore the city. Unfortunately we were dissapointed by a few things. First of all, we could not open the URLs to activate our guide through email. This meant I had to install the TripAdvisor app just to open the URLs. Then we had to download another app for the tour itself. That in itself seems inaccessible. The whole tour was AI generated and so were the images, that was very dissapointing to see. Sometimes it was unclear where you had to stand exactly to solve the riddles or see what we had to see. The tour came to an abrupt end with arguably the least interesting location of them all, which was also the furthest away from the inner city. All in all we are glad to have seen more of the city, but we could have done the same tour with ChatGPT if we wanted to use AI.
This is false! The quest is created by Andreea, a local writer from Luxembourg. I guess you played a different quest and left the review by mistake to our activity! There's nothing AI generated in our quest.
Beautiful city, Me and my husband loved the Luxembourg city old and new both. Little extra walk and surprisingly i did alot. Food was okay but pizza are delicious everywhere, one more thing public transport are all free buses and trams, which was shocking for us as where ever we go in any countries mostly we send extras on rides. Anyway love this trip
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We’re delighted to hear you and your husband enjoyed exploring Luxembourg and that the Romantic Quest helped you discover both the old and new sides of the city. We agree—the free public transport is such a wonderful surprise for visitors, and it makes walking and exploring even more enjoyable. And yes, the pizza here never disappoints. We’re so glad you loved your trip and hope to see you on another quest soon.
The premise of this experience is great but the execution is pretty poor. There's a story component that reads extremely AI-generated with AI art, and the sites it chooses to lead you felt somewhat random with minimal interesting content. There was a building with a unicorn on the front, and the "historical context" was all about tech companies using the term "unicorn" to describe billion dollar companies. I still have no idea what that building was. I gave up on the app after the fourth site and just wandered around on my own.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the experience didn’t feel as engaging as you hoped. This quest includes more chapters and story moments beyond the fourth stop, with locations and content that may have given you a different impression had you completed it. We understand it’s not for everyone, but we appreciate you sharing your thoughts, as they help us keep improving our quests.
Nice puzzles, nice route, not too long. if you are not known in the city, consulting Google Maps is sometimes useful. nice story. we found melusina. you will look at the city in a different way and you will learn a lot about the city without having to call in a tour guide.
Beautiful place We only stopped there as a last minute stop off on a motorcycle tour of Europe, and was shocked at how beautiful it was really pretty. It’s not somewhere to go for a two week holiday as it’s tiny. I would say 3-4 days on one trip will do it We are heading back with the misses this year in July as they can’t miss out on the little gem.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience! It’s great to hear that this spontaneous stop turned into such a pleasant surprise. Totally agree—it may be small, but it definitely leaves a big impression. Sounds like a perfect 3–4 day getaway spot. Hope you and your partner have an amazing time when you return in July—it’s always nice to share hidden gems like this with someone special!
Fun route easy to follow and fun facts about the city. Nice view of the city. The nice thing about this puzzle tour was that you don’t walk around aimlessly, but really learn something and immediately visit all the sights.
We had fun on this quest, and learned a few things, despite having lived in Luxembourg for a long time! Apart from initial confusion as to the exact starting point, and a couple of times when we'd moved on to the next point before the historical information on the previous point popped up, the trail was clearly described. There were two points where our answers were misinterpreted, but that might have been a language issue (American English v British English).
Great to hear you had fun and picked up some new insights about Luxembourg! Thanks for sharing your experience—would love to have you join another quest in the future.
Lots of add on costs which are ever annoying and I felt totally ripped off. Avoid like the plague unfortunately
We want every experience to feel fair and transparent. Our games don’t have add-on costs, so we’d love to understand more about what happened. Please reach out to us at care@questoapp.com so we can look into this for you.
We were not able to go because, after several attempts and even with help from third parties, we could not download the route from Questo. Neither could we contact, nor by telephone and even though our emails came back indestined. Since you are an intermediary in the sale, we also count on your intervention for a refund of the amount. Thanks in advance. Dirk Vandewalle,l
Sorry to hear you had trouble accessing the game and couldn’t get a hold of us. That’s definitely not the experience we want for our players. Please reach out to us at care@questoapp.com, and we’ll be happy to look into this for you.
