A great day in Como and the lakes region

I had initially intended to see the Como lake by myself. However taking into account I could only go for a day, I chose to take a guided tour. I am so pleased I did as I saw much more than I could have arranged myself. Our guide was Andrea who knew much of the history of the region, which he delivered in an engaging and interesting way. He was keen to ensure that we enjoyed our day.

Beautiful day

Andrea is a man of his trade, who loves what he does and does what he loves, very positive, determined to make everyone enjoy what they hear and see. He made this day special for us, we sincerely thank him for that. The company is lucky to have such an employee.

Andrea was the ultimate tour guide

Andrea was the ultimate tour guide, knowledgeable, entertaining and organised. He has his tour first on the boats, knew where to head to get seats and even organised lunch at a local restaurant.

IBIS hotel Como

Due to car trouble we are stranded in Como. An emergency service picked us up and took us to the IBIS hotel in Como. The car was taken to a garage. The staff was very welcoming and has helped us excellently with communication with the garage. We are very satisfied.

All Day Lugano and Lake Como tour with stop at Bellagio

Our tour guide was very nice and we enjoyed his guidance, but the overall tour was less than we expected and a bit disappointing. Was not much time in Lugano and Bellagio and the boat ride home was horrible. We thought we were taking a private boat with up to 50 people., but it was a public ferry with hundreds of people. There was not enough room to sit together so we did not get the audio guide on the return. We were also sitting in the sun for almost 2 hours while the ferry stopped at eight different drop off and pick up points. If you expect the use of public transportation, you will be fine. Otherwise you may have issues.

Operator response

Dear Joshua, Thank you for your feedback and for your kind words regarding our tour guide. We would like to clarify a few important aspects of the tour itinerary to set the record straight: Tour Description & Transport: The product page explicitly states prior to booking that the stop in Lugano is approximately 1 hour and that the lake transport utilizes the public ferry system. We always encourage guests to carefully review the published details before purchasing so expectations align with the itinerary. The Public Boat Route & Views: The public boat line is specifically chosen because it is the only service permitted to navigate the entire length of Lake Como from Bellagio back to Como. A private boat cannot replicate this unique, comprehensive route, which offers unmatched views of historic villas (including Villa Oleandra), picturesque harbors, and coastal villages. Public Seating & Audio: As with any public ferry service, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and peak departures can be busy. However, the open-air positioning and scenic stops at the various towns are part of the authentic Lake Como transit experience. We appreciate your review, as it helps future travelers better understand the precise format of this excursion. Best regards, Davide

Not what we expected. Did not match description of the trip we planned.

Not what we expected. Expected day on water and more than one stop. Two bus trips and a ferry to Bellagio and ferry back to Como.

Operator response

Dear Client, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify a few details regarding the structure of our itinerary: Transit to Lugano: Lugano is located in Switzerland and is separated from Lake Como by land. As there is no direct waterway connecting Como to Lugano, coach transportation is geographically necessary to reach the city. Boat Cruise & Timing: During this 8-hour excursion, guests enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise that covers the main highlights of Lake Como, alongside guided visits to both Lugano and Bellagio. Transparency: The complete itinerary, including the step-by-step timings and transportation details (bus and ferry legs), is clearly outlined on our product page prior to booking so guests know exactly what to expect. We hope this helps clarify the structure of the tour, and we thank you again for your visit. Best regards, Davide
