We were booked for this tour on Monday, June 1. On Sunday, May 31, about 26 hours prior to our tour, I received a notification that our tour had been cancelled and we would receive a full refund. This was a tour I had booked weeks in advance. Our trips (me, daughter, granddaughter) had been planned for months. We chose different tours on different days because we were visiting London and Paris....so each day was planned carefully. The only reason given was the guide was sick. I asked maybe a backup guide. No, it is high season and no back ups. I asked if we could somehow collect our tickets (they were included in the tour) so we could at least still visit. Nope, that was again the "rules". The suggestion was to visit Louvre site to secure tickets. Well, at this late date, there were no tickets for the next day....because it is high season! We used this same group "My Super Tour" about 3 years ago and had a good experience so that is why I chose them again. We will NEVER book with this group again. We ultimately found another tour for another day but that required us to rearrange a well thought out week. Then, to make matters worse, we saw on FB at least 3-4 other people where this SAME thing happened to them.....got cancelled day prior with the "guide is ill" reason. This was right after the big soccer win in Paris and there was sooo much going on. My gut tells me this was somehow related...but just a guess. A company the size of MySuperTour should have a back up plan in the event a guide is ill.....not just cancel. And, while this was cancelled around 26 hours prior, I would bet money that if we had tried to cancel at the 24 hour (or less mark), we would have been told no way...even if we were "ill". This was now almost 2 weeks ago and it still ticks me off that this was handled this way with zero backup. So, if you book with these folks, be cautious. My solution is simple....wont use them again.
The guide was really good! I don’t remember her name but the speed of the excursion was comfy and the information was surprising and interesting! I love it and recommend everyone who visits Paris
Monica was a great guide. We waited an hour to get into the Louvre due to a strike, but in the end we were able to see many highlights.
Thank you for the good review. If Monica got only four stars instead of five because of the strike, we just want to underline that such events are completely out of our control and we couldn’t do anything to avoid such an inconvenience. Thank you again for your understanding. Warm regards.
It is a definite on a visit to Paris. The guided tour is the only way to avoid the long lines! So much to see!
Thank you so much for the great review. Hope to see you again for the visit of another of the great museums and monuments in Paris. Best wishes.
Excellent guide in Omar. He explained the background to many of the masters
Our guide was so knowledgeable and excited to share all the history of the Louvre. She was very engaging and kind. Would highly recommend!
Monica was our guide and she was wonderful. She kept us moving, gave great tips for pieces to look at and why and made sure to bring in plenty of pop culture references for my teens.
Great informative tour of the highlights of the Louvre. Guide was very knowledgeable and engaged well with the kids. A perfect way to experience the museum. Thank you.
Thank you very much for the great review. I am happy that you liked it!
Elizabeth was SO GREAT!! She gave us such a wonderful perspective of the Louvre…the history, the artists and had such an awesome way of giving us more in depth understanding of the historical significance of the artwork too.
Very informative and quite awe inspiring to see exhibits and all the paintings. Needed more time to see
Hello Warren, Thank you so much for the review. We appreciate that you liked our tour. If you needed more time, you could just book a longer tour with us, we are more than happy to guide our guests for half a day or even more through the Louvre or to propose thematic tours on several days. So next time you book with us, make sure to choose the format you really want. Best wishes
