Departing from Svolvær harbour in the morning, we set out for Trollfjord an hour cruising away. On the way you can take in the breathtaking views in panoramic lounges and multiple decks. As we reach Raftsundet we'll launch an underwater drone, bringing you unique perspectives on the life underwater. What do you think hides beneath the surface? We'll spend some time in Trollfjord, exploring as, above us, white-tailed eagles soar against the backdrop of steep mountains. Our engaging crew will tell you about the wildlife, landscape and history of the resilient communities that live in this epic coastal landscape. Cloudy grey weather, but actually gave it even more mystique. Stunning scenery and a thoroughly enjoyable trip. Lovely comfortable boat - inside or out. The guides told stories and gave information. They were cheerful and fun. All in all 5 stars; definitely a trip worth doing.
We went on a cloudy and rainy day so probably not as special as it could be in sunshine. Only special wildlife we saw were many black sea eagles. Trollfjord is a relatively small fjord. Boat does go in open water so if you are sensitive to motion sickness be sure to take something in advance. Crew was very nice and provided some interesting stories about Lofoten.
Really nice trip. Great way to see more of the island from the water and the fjord itself was beautiful. Really good commentary along the way when there was something of note but not too much so you could enjoy the scenery. Great having a little bar/cafe on board too.
The boat is spacious and has large clear windows inside on 2 decks to cater for the weather, outside are decks both forward and aft to protect from the wind. The staff were very friendly and curtious and the cafe had a good range of snacks both warm and cold as well as a good selection of drinks both warm and cold and alcoholic if you fancy a beer or cocktail. The guide relayed some good information and they were really friendly and helpful, I would certainly recommend this tour.
Very successful trip with good nice guides. We saw several sea eagles and Trollfjorden was magical even though a cover of the targets lay over us so you could not see the top of the mountains
Comfortable boat and interesting guide talk. As the weather was poor and high winds we were transferred by coach to a different start point. All very will organised and didn’t spoil the trip.
It was an incredible experience of 3 and a half hours on a very comfortable boat, with clean restrooms and very attentive staff. During the crossing to the fjord, we saw eagles on the islands and also flying; the Captain slowed down to enjoy the birds, but at no time did we get too close, nor were they fed as other companies do. Through the boat's speakers, explanations about the birds, history, geography, and geology were given in a very enjoyable way, also leaving time for silence to enjoy those moments. Highly recommended!
Beautiful nature experience on a quiet ship. Two young ladies shared a lot of informative content very enthusiastically and cheerfully, and the boat trips stopped at sea eagles so that we could observe the huge birds of prey! We are thrilled! Thank you very much!!!
Nice to see so many sea eagles. Nice to go so close to the rocks and beautiful landscape o many cottages along the islands.
