Smells like rotten Eggs at this air b and b

We stayed in the Air B and B apartments on the farm and don’t recommend. The water in the bathroom smells terrible of rotten eggs. The water also doesn’t drain in the bathroom sink or kitchen sink. The owner gave lie to my husband to put didn’t the sink to try to help the water go find and he burned the skin on his hands. We left the apt completely clean and the owner we think was upset we didn’t write a review so she made up lies saying we were messy guests in an air b and b rating which is unprofessional and surprising a business owner would do that. The owner is not friendly what’s so ever would walk by without an a hello. We were very surprised and disappointed by the experience.

Operator response

Thank you for your review. We were surprised to read many of the concerns raised here, as they were never communicated during your stay despite several conversations while you were participating in our animal experiences. We even asked whether you were experiencing a slow drain, and you indicated you were not sure but would take the Draino if needed. At no point did you mention an injury, unresolved issue, or dissatisfaction with your stay. As noted in your Airbnb review, the posted and texted checkout procedures were not followed. Specifically, the kitchen was left with a sink full of dishes containing dried, caked-on food despite a dishwasher, detergent tablets, and checkout instructions being provided for guest convenience. Additionally, significant gouges were discovered in the bathroom sink following your stay. Unfortunately, the damage could not be repaired and the sink has since been replaced. We always appreciate the opportunity to address concerns during a guest’s stay and wish you the best in your future travels.

Unique and amazing experience with unique and amazing creatures

What a unique and amazing experience this was! Kate, the guide, was so well spoken and knowledgeable. The rain did not dampen our spirits as Kate made it fun throughout. We were so pleasantly surprised that each one of us got to walk our own llama or alpaca. Photo ops were frequent and entertaining. It was the highlight of our week long trip in this ea and we would do it again!!

Operator response

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that your llama and alpaca hike was the highlight of your trip. Kate truly enjoys sharing her knowledge and love of the animals, and we’re thrilled that her enthusiasm helped make the rainy day such a memorable experience. One of our favorite parts of the hike is giving guests the opportunity to lead their own llama or alpaca, creating those special one-on-one moments (and plenty of fun photo opportunities along the way!). Thank you for spending part of your vacation with us and for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to welcome you back to Clover Brooke Farm again soon for another adventure with the herd!

LLAMAS AND ALPACAS- DO NOT MISS THIS!

Walking with the llamas and alpacas was such fun. It is an easy hike and the animals were sweet and well behaved. The whole farm was full of animals and the guides made it such an enjoyable experience.

Operator response

Thank you so much for the kind words—and the ALL CAPS enthusiasm, we feel the love! 😄🦙 We’re so glad you enjoyed your time on the trail with our llamas and alpacas (they do have a way of stealing the spotlight!). Easy hike, great company, and a whole farm full of personalities—that’s exactly the experience we aim for. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to our team (and maybe give the animals a little extra bragging rights 😉). Thanks again for visiting—come back anytime for more four-legged fun!

Hiking with the Alpacas

My wife and I visited the Clover Brooke Farm on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Kate was our guide as we toured the farm and went on the alpaca tour with alpacas Moe and Chewbacca. Moe and Chewbacca were very friendly and patiently walked with us around the approximately 1 mile trail. I definitely recommend this tour for families with younger children. We had a great time and think you will too.

Operator response

Kate will be thrilled to hear your feedback—she truly loves what she does, and it shows in every hike she leads. And of course, Moe and Chewbacca are always happy to make new friends (especially ones who enjoy a nice stroll around the farm with them!). We appreciate your recommendation for families—it really is a special way to connect with the animals and enjoy the outdoors together. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience, and we hope to welcome you back for another visit soon! Warmly, Andrea & the Clover Brooke Farm Team 🦙🌿

City gals enjoying the farm!

We had the best visit to Clover Brook Farm. As city gals we were cautious about taking the alpaca/llama hike but we had so much fun. Our guide Katie was super- she explained how to handle our companions, Percy the llama & Remy the alpaca, and what to expect- she was professional and excited about her job. Several goats came along with us and they added a little mischief to the walk which was adorable!! After our hike we visited the other animals and enjoyed learning all about life on the farm. Our visit ended in the gift shop where we bought homemade wild thyme soap- can’t wait to try it! This would be a wonderful activity to do with young children who love animals and are curious about farm life. Highly recommend! 🦙 💚

Well worth the visit!

Small family run farm that allows you to walk their alpacas and llamas. Insightful host our day was the husband/father. Very knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions. Great way to round out a day in Hyde Park before or after the FDR library. Not really a hike. More like a walk through pastures and a jaunt through the woods. Maybe 0.5 miles. Where proper footwear. It is a farm after all!

Operator response

Thank you so much for visiting Clover Brooke Farm and for leaving such a thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your time with our llamas and alpacas, and that you appreciated the knowledge and hospitality shared by my husband during your tour. You’re absolutely right—our walk is more of a gentle stroll through pastures and woods than a traditional hike, but it offers plenty of opportunity to connect with the animals and soak in the farm scenery. And thank you for pointing out the tip about footwear—always wise advice when visiting a working farm! We’re so glad your stop here was a nice complement to a day in Hyde Park. We hope you’ll come back again soon to meet more of our furry crew and enjoy another walk on the farm. Warmly, Andrea & the Clover Brooke Farm Family 🦙🌿
