First time experiencing this and loved it. As a foreigner they really relayed how much the Mexicans love this. It was simply a wonderful time. If you’re someone who can’t be in large crowds I’d think twice but otherwise everyone try this!!! Also, buy a mask 🙂
We’re so happy you had a great first Lucha Libre experience. Sharing the passion and energy that locals have for this tradition is exactly what we hope our guests take away. And yes, buying a mask is definitely part of the experience! We hope to see you again next time you’re in Mexico City!
We met an hour prior to the show at what looks like a restaurant for drinks and guacamole/chips. There, you can buy masks and our tour guy gave us history about lucha libre. From there, we walked as a group to the arena. Be aware that they do not allow any fluids and snacks into the arena. It will be thrown out! The show was amazing! We had amazing seats. Definitely a must when in Mexico City.
We had a really great evening. It was fun to learn a little about the wrestling before we went in. The show was very entertaining
Really nice and fun experience! Tour guides were kind and very helpful. Highly recommend this tour!!!
We really enjoyed this tour! It was my wife’s birthday, and our guides surprised her with a shot of tequila. Lucha libre is such a unique experience—we couldn’t stop screaming and cheering. Just go and experience it!
Great tour guide, the walk to the arena itself was about 10 minutes from the restaurant. The event itself was great also.
If you haven’t been, just go once for the experience! Thats it. Would I do it again… maybe not! But worth the one time experience.
Great experience. You arrive at a restaurant, where they give you your drink, you can order food off their menu but it is not mandatory. The they explain to you Lucha Libre history. Gather the crowd and walk you to the stadium. You are not allowed to bring any drinks into the stadium, they have concession stand where you can buy food and drinks. Lucha libre is meant to be entertaining and require an audience’s involvement. Would definitely do it again and again. After it is all over you are free to go.
Boom experiences was fantastic From the moment we arrived the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed playing a game of Lotería and even got to practice our spanish the ride was entertaining, and we discovered some very Mexican sounds along the way, the lucha libre show was a lot of fun we cheered loudly for our favorites, and our seats were perfect for enjoying the show
This is a must-do tour if you’re visiting Mexico! We didn’t have very high expectations at first, but it completely exceeded them. From the warm welcome to the beautiful venue, everything was excellent. Our guide shared fascinating insights about Mexican wrestling, and the final tips he gave us helped us enjoy the show to the fullest. Without a doubt, this is a high-energy experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Mexico.
