We should have been contacted that there was a group meeting of protectors at that church. When we got to the church there were hundreds of people braking bottles, throwing trash, going to the bathroom in the bushes ... it was disgusting. We couldn't get close to the church and by the time we got to the door it was about 8-10 minutes late. Therefore we couldn't get in. We should have been notified that this protest was going to happen as we spoke with staff at the church and he said it was a planned event. Trip advisor should have notified those who purchased tickets. Thanks
The light show itself was great. We sat near the back so we could see all of the church and its high ceiling. Loved the sharks, stingrays and tigers projected on the ceiling. Make sure you go to the bathroom before going to the church. I was directed to a single port-a-let outside which smelled horrible!
Must do on the list. Vienna is a very beautiful country. It was very hot but in the show it was so calm

Seats are numbered, so there is no need to arrive super early. If you do arrive a bit early, you can walk around the church. The show itself was beautiful to see, and exactly what I expected in terms of light and sound display. It would have been helpful to have some information about the narrative being told, as some images were confusing to me (ex: I'm not sure why there were cheetahs). Most of the lights and images were clear and relevant, just the few minor moments with animals that looked a bit cheesy. The show is only about 30 minutes (it started a little late), and the seats themselves aren't the most comfortable.
Did this recently with .y 10 year old daughter and thoroughly enjoyed it. The music and light show was very well done and all seats had a good view. I think it's a great experience for people if all ages. Might be a little too loud and overwhelming for very young children but my 10 year old loved it.

The Light of Creation immersive show at Vienna’s stunning neo‑gothic Votivkirche was absolutely unforgettable. The combination of vibrant projection mapping and mystical, sweeping music transforms the entire church into a living piece of art. The visuals are mesmerizing, the atmosphere feels almost sacred, and the storytelling is both emotional and uplifting. The staff were warm and organized, and the whole experience felt thoughtfully curated from start to finish. Whether you’re into art, architecture, or just want a unique Vienna highlight, this is a must see.
Compared to other laser shows that we have seen in other countries, this one was disappointing. Keep in mind that this is in a church and you will looking at the ceiling for 30 minutes so expect a stiff neck.
