Le Theatre Cruise - Wonder on Halong Bay 2 Days 1 Night Tour

This cruise was a really good experience. All the staff on board had exceptional customer service and were very helpful. Especially Tom and Sam. Tom was the cruise manager. He spoke really good English and taught us a lot about the area and led the activities. Sam was one of the service staff. He went out of is way to cater for my partner who has a shell fish allergy. His English was also very good. The cruise was run really well and the room was lovely and clean.

My review is going to be 2-fold where I am going to talk about things that I liked, and things that were bad and can be worked upon. Things that I liked: 1. The serenity of the place- You and your partner, be it your spouse or your friend will have a very peaceful time where you will spend a lot of time gazing at the beautiful scenery and having conversations in that surrounding, or reading a book, or just taking photographs of the beautiful place. 2. Kayaking: Maybe this stood out for me, as I tried this for the very first time and I just loved it. We got into some small limestone reefs which felt a little thrilling and enjoyable. 3. The room that we took was a premium room. Infact since it was our wedding anniversary, the cruise team decided to give us a room upgrade and we had a private terrace as a result which was awesome. The room was in itself very clean and was definitely a great buck value given that they charge lesser than the likes of Stellar of the seas, Oasis, etc. 4. Value for Money deal: I wanted a 5-star treatment and that was completely there. Every table had a personal butler who would serve you and get you whatever you want. For the price I paid, and the price I saw other cruises charging I think I am pretty satisfied with the deal. Things that can be made better: 1. For people who are comfortable with Meat and Prawns, there was so much to eat, and I think it was quite feastful, where-as for people who are vegetarians, the food was a little on the sweet side, and was blandish, which could be made better. There could also be more vegetarian options. Specially the Potato Soup and the corn soup were very below the mark. So much scope alone in these 2 items. 2. In Terms of the Halong Bay Region, there was so much dirt in the water, which is something I didn't like at all. I was told by Tom, the cruise manager that the situation is so because during covid-19 there was less police patrolling and a lot of larger ships that used to cross this area used to throw over the garbage in the sea, which I couldn't really digest. If it happened it is wrong, but given the fact that it is attracting so many tourists from around the world right now, I think that the Vietnamese government should figure out a pro-active way or a cleansing drive to get all this cleaned up, 3. The Term Limousine ride is a sham. This word makes you feel that you will have something ultra luxurious to take you to the harbor, but in reality, I feel it's just a good van, that's it. But wouldn't really make it fall in luxury category.

I have waited for many years to tour Halong Bay. The staff of this boat was amazing. Tom, who was the manager made me feel like I had known him for years. My waiter was Sam and he was excellent. I cannot think of a single way this tour could’ve been better. If I can offer one piece of advice, spend the extra money and get the executive room it is very much worth it.
