Itinerary
We meet at Temple, the historic site once home to the Knights Templar and where Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were imprisoned during the French Revolution. Our tasting begins with one of the best croissants in Paris. From there, we continue with a bite of the district’s specialty sandwich, followed by cheese and Pacific-inspired tastings at the Marché des Enfants Rouges, the oldest covered market in Paris. Next, we head to the Jewish Quarter for its famous falafel, enjoy a freshly made crêpe paired with cider, and finish our experience with a selection of delicious French sweets.
Tucked away in the heart of the Marais, Marché des Enfants Rouges is the oldest covered market in Paris, dating back to 1615. At this stop, we’ll explore its vibrant food stalls, uncover the origin of its unusual name, and soak in the lively atmosphere that makes it a favorite among locals and food lovers alike.
Nestled in the Jewish Quarter of Le Marais, Rue des Rosiers is a lively street rich with history and flavor. At this stop, we’ll explore centuries of Jewish heritage, learn about its cultural significance, and taste some of the area’s most beloved specialties, including falafel and pastries. We’ll also visit the Holocaust Memorial in a hidden garden of the Jewish Quarter to reflect on its WWII history.
Built in the 17th century, the Église Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis is a striking example of Baroque architecture in the heart of the Marais. At this stop, we’ll admire its grand façade and lavish interior while uncovering the church’s royal connections, artistic treasures, and place in Parisian religious history.
Hidden behind a grand 17th-century mansion, the Jardin de l’Hôtel de Sully offers a peaceful escape in the heart of the Marais. At this stop, we’ll step into this quiet courtyard garden, learn about the noble family who once lived here, and explore its connection to the nearby Place des Vosges.
The oldest planned square in Paris, Place des Vosges is a masterpiece of symmetry and elegance. Surrounded by red-brick mansions and leafy arcades, we’ll explore its royal origins, literary legends like Victor Hugo, and the quiet charm that makes this square a timeless Parisian gem.

My brother gifted my mother and me a weekend trip to Paris, and the highlight was the wine and food tour through "Le Marais." We can highly recommend Shérif as a guide if you want to learn about historical details of the "Le Marais" district along with solid information about the food. Additionally, the selection of culinary stops was excellent. The best way to immerse oneself in life in Paris.

This was a really great experience! Sherif walked us around Le Marais and not only told us about food but also gave us some history on the area. All of the food was great, and he was also able to provide accomodations if we didn't want a certain item planned. Sherif also gave us a lot of great tips and recommendations! Would highly recommend this tour.

Sherif was the perfect guide! He was so knowledgeable about the food and the wine, but was also fun and engaging, which made the tour so enjoyable. Between the restaurant visits, he told us about the history of the places we walked through and the buildings we viewed along the way. The restaurants he picked had such delicious food and we were served promptly. It could not have been more perfect! Thanks so much Sherif for such a lovely evening.
