Meet your guide at the historic Carioca Station as the city transitions into night. We kick off at a local favorite for a warm cup of gooey Pão de Queijo (12 pieces to share) paired with a traditional, refreshing ice-cold Mate with Lemonade (300ml)—the quintessential Rio street refreshment.
Step back in time at a historic, century-old local tavern. Here, you'll toast the night with an authentic shot of artisanal Cachaça and a tongue-numbing shot of Amazonian Jambu to share. To balance the drinks, you'll dig into two traditional chicken Empadinhas (savory, flaky oven pies).
Head deeper into the lively streets of Lapa. At this neighborhood staple, we taste two of Brazil's absolute favorite savory bar bites: a portion of crispy, golden Bolinho de Bacalhau (6 codfish cakes) and traditional teardrop-shaped chicken Coxinha (6 units).
Visit the world-famous Selarón Steps as they light up for the evening. Here, we stop at a legendary street stall for a massive, freshly muddled 500ml street Caipirinha. Sip Brazil’s national cocktail while soaking in the vibrant bohemian energy and colorful tile mosaics.
Keep the energy moving down the lively bohemian alleyways of Lapa. We stop at this popular local hotspot to snack on a fresh portion of piping-hot, crispy Fried Polenta—the ultimate savory comfort food to share among friends.
Conclude the food journey at the famous street wall of Lapa right by the iconic Arcos da Lapa aqueduct. We had a fun tour in areas of Rio that we would never go to ourselves. Delicious snacks, but not enough of them.

A great way to be introduced to Brazilian food, drinks, and nightlife. Giovanna was a great host. She took my wife and I out to some great bars that we otherwise wouldn’t have found and certainly helped us try things that we wouldn’t have even known were Brazilian specialties.
