It's challenging at times but well worth the effort. Views were stunning when the cloud lifted. I had Tristan as a guide. He was great
Thanks ever so much for joining us and well done crushing this in HK summer with the heat and humidity!
Had a great time on this hike, led by Tristan, who is very experienced, friendly, and an excellent hiking guide! Rory was so helpful in organizing the whole thing, very responsive over email and went out of their way to make this happen for me. I would highly recommend Wild HK and will definitely hike with them again next time I'm in HK! Thank you Rory and Tristan!
Thank you so much for being such a great guest! Was an absolute pleasure to adventure with you :)
One of the best guide ever! Rory took me to the Hong Kong Peak and I wouldn’t have made it without him. He made me brave when I needed and his calmness made me feel safe. And it was so fun!! Thank you Rory 🙏🏼😅
Thanks so much Eva for a really wonderful tour. Always so good when we climb up Lantau Peak and get a good sunrise to match the good company :)
We hiked in pretty dismal weather. Rain and strong winds which didn't make it any easier. It was my first "big" hike so i found it pretty challenging but my friend that was with me who has done a lot more trekking found it relatively easy. Unfortunately we didn't manage to see any sunrise because of the heavy cloud and rain but i loved being able to finish this at the base of the Big Buddha before it opened and the crowds arrived. You don't get told but you will need head torches or spot lights so make sure you pack these. It was also around 6 degrees at the top in winter so be prepared with the right clothing. Thank you to Henry and Rory.
Gutted the weather gods couldn't smile upon us! Appreciate very much the courage shown to embark on a challenging hike like this for the first time given the conditions. Respect! That's pretty much the coldest it ever gets in HK. Anyone reading this who plans to hike in March - October, it will be hot. We usually have back up torches, but indeed recommend to bring your own if you can. All the best and safe travels :) Rory and Henry
Rory was nice enough to do an afternoon hike for us as we didn’t want to wake up so early. We started our hike at 2pm. Rory was very patient with us as we really took our time with this hike.
Thanks Joanna. Great effort to conquer Lantau Peak!
