It is a small boat and not the bus like boat. The gentleman operating the boat was so lovely and informative.
Fabulous morning on the water. Our guide Daniel was hilarious and informative. We were able to book a trip up and back with him as we did not want to walk back so we had extra time on the water. Very pleased with this tour and so glad we booked.
This is a great little boat tour to Innisfallen Island and back from Ross Castle. Fergus plus his four legged companion, navigated us along the edge of the lake, just out from the shore, giving us time to look for wildlife amongst the reed bed and appreciate the beauty of the surroundings. Fergus provided information about rock formations and various things but didn’t overload us with information. Everything was relaxed and peaceful. The island was once a monastery and was very tranquil with lots of bird song and wild flowers. An abundance of foxgloves was about to bloom, so if you visit in later May you may get to see them. The island contains some interesting ruins from the monastery that you can explore and there is a short circular walk around the island providing more amazing views. On the far side of the island we came across two groups of deer feeding. They were quite chilled about our presence and didn’t run off as we approached, so we got to observe them for a really long time. Fergus was relaxed about time on the island and just said return when you have seen enough. So chilled.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. Fergus and Oscar will be delighted. You are correct the foxglove bloom it is gorgeous. Be sure to check out our social media for photos soon I'll put some photos up. Hope to see you again🙏🙏
I’m a big Irish history buff so it was nice to explore the island and monastery attended by Irish high king Brian Boru as a youth. The short boat ride was very scenic as was the walk around the island. Enjoyed seeing the many deer that inhabit the island. Very enjoyable tour for the money!
Thanks for taking the time to leave a nice review. Be sure to try out longer trips next time.
Took a boat out from Ross Castle to Innisfallen Abbey via the open top boats. Very happy, as these smaller boats can access islands the large covered ones can't. Lovely trip out and back with knowledgeable skippers offering all manner of info.
Thanks were glad you enjoyed our tour🙏🙏
It was a nice relaxing boat ride, with some nice time on the Island looking at the deers. Good history and local knowledge shared. I would recommend It may be less expensive booking directly at the boat dock than booking on line.
Thanks for booking with us. Booking online now guarantees your seat and time. It generally works out the same price as in the pier unless there are bigger groups.
Lovely scenic little boat trip. Great views and a peaceful walk on the island. Boat captains are lovely and knowledgeable. Oscar the little sea dog is also very cute!
Thanks for taking the time to write a lovely review. Oscar loves the attention😁
the views are beautiful, luck accompanied by a bright sun, we were able to enjoy it fully magical place
