The attendant checking us in was pleasant and helpful. The instructions for bike operation were straightforward. However, two minutes down the road one of the tires blew a flat and we had to walk it back. We promptly received a replacement bike. The iPhone app guide we were given to follow our route was difficult to hear and not intuitive. It doesn’t account for delays you might encounter with pedestrians and traffic. On the day we took our tour there were alot of events happening in town which made our progress slow and tedious. We gave up on the app and just used Google to get us up to Cernobbio where we had lunch. Then headed carefully back to Como dodging cars and crowds. The views of the lake were spectacular but choose your rental day and time carefully.
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear check-in was pleasant, the bike instructions were clear, and that we were able to replace the bike quickly after the puncture. Regarding the flat tire: while we keep our bikes checked and maintained, punctures can unfortunately happen unexpectedly due to road conditions (glass, debris, potholes) and are outside of our direct control once you’re riding. The same applies to external factors like pedestrians, traffic, and city events—these can affect pace and comfort, especially on busy days, and we always recommend riding carefully and choosing a quieter time when possible. About the audio/app guide: thank you for mentioning this. The system is designed to be very simple—just press Start, and when you reach each point of interest it will play automatically. If it’s not clear how to reach the next stop, there’s also a “Directions” button that provides turn-by-turn instructions. And for guests who want clearer sound (especially in busy areas), we can provide headphones as an optional extra, which usually makes a big difference. We really appreciate your honesty—it helps us improve the experience—and we’re happy you still enjoyed the spectacular lake views. If you ever come back, we’d love to help you plan a time and route that feels smoother and more relaxed.
Very nice person, very attentive. He explained us all we need about the bikes, gave us padlocks and helmets for our safety. Explained where we can park and where not, the bikes. We enjoy lake Como shore easier and faster with the bikes (Villa Geno and the fountain, Tempio Voltiano, War Memorial, Villa Gallia, Villa Saporiti and Villa Olmo). We also visited the Basilica di Sant'Abbondio that was a little far away from shore an city center; very, very old and interesting church.
Very good, informative relaxed and Sergio was an excellent tour leader. Recommended for all abilities. Good bikes and easy to ride
Very comprehensive and informative guided tour. Sergio made us discover the city and the lake differently Very good experience. I recommend without hesitation
Very nice tour of 4 hours. Friendly and helpful bike rental operator. Great lunch and ditto view of this address: La Baia di Moltrasio, absolutely recommended!
We had a great experience biking around the area. So beautiful. The bikes really enhanced the day and allowed us to travel outside of the immediate town. Would definitely do it again.

Thank you again for choosing Stunning Bike Co-Tours for your Como adventure! 🌟 Best wishes from Lake Como, Sergio, Andrea and the Stunning Bike Co-Tours team
Hired two mountain bikes today, both good condition, cycled from Lake Como to Chaisso on the Swiss border, half day hire was enough for us.
We used our bikes to get away from the crowds - absolutely perfect. Great customer service. Do yourself a favour, grab a bike and have an awesome time. Mike & Margaret’s Anne.
Rented E-bikes and cycled about 14km up the lake, a wonderful experience, stopped off for a swim, and lunch by the lake in one of the many stunning spots. The E-bikes make this a comfortable and easy ride, and lovely way to see some of the small towns and villages.
We did this E-bike tour one morning from 10am. Establishment easy to find, bike in very average condition (see photo), smartphone application not obvious to use especially without "AirPods" or headphones. The app does not do GPS, you just have to follow a path, not simple! This allowed us to take a tour of the city without more.
Thank you for your review. We have some responses to your affirmations. The tour you selected is the Self-Guided Tour. As indicated, it only provides the digital guide and no additional equipment, which is suggested to bring with you as per the booking details. If you desire a more comprehensive experience, we also offer the Guided Tour, which includes an iPad, a real guide, helmets, and an audio headset. This is a higher-priced option that you could have chosen. Regarding our bikes, they undergo meticulous checks to ensure optimal performance without malfunction. While they may have minor scratches or cosmetic imperfections, these do not affect their functionality. It is important to note that a bike’s appearance does not necessarily indicate its performance. A bike may be aesthetically pleasing but not necessarily functional. The GPS system included is not a navigation app but a tour app. It provides information on points of interest (POIs) when you reach them. Additionally, if you are unsure of how to reach a POI, you can press the “Get Directions” button at the bottom to open Google or Apple Maps for guidance. As mentioned, this app is specifically designed for tours and not navigation. Thank you again for your feedback.
