On exiting the cruise terminal our driver was there waiting for us holding a sign with our names on it. He told us to wait whilst he went to get the car. The car was a luxury 8-seater … very clean and very posh. He gave us some water and we set off to Bang Kok. He told us that our guide would be waiting for us at the first stop, The golden Buddha Temple. And sure enough he was! Our guide, Mr Panu, gave us all of the necessary interesting facts. He took us to the other temple on the itinerary and offered to take lots of photos for us. After that we had a very nice buffet lunch at a hotel in Bang Kok. We drove past China Town, the river and the flower market but sure seeing wise we only visited these 2 temples! We told Mr. Panu that we did not want to do the shopping aspect of the tour. He suggested that we spend more time at the Spa and that it would be worth while upgrading the massage for a better experience, which we did. It cost an additional £80 for the 2 of us to have a full 2-hour full body Thai massage. Mr. Panu gave us the money, in cash, that he was going to pay towards the original included massage. After the massage the driver took us straight back to the cruise ship. The journey to/from Bang Kok took about two and a half hours each way.
