La Pedrera (Casa Milà) is pure Gaudí's genius. We booked the sunrise guided tour, and it was excellent; the guide was very knowledgeable and she explained to us how Gaudí designed every detail, from the flowing stone facade to the attic space used for laundry. One of the highlights, without question, is the rooftop. Walking among the surreal warrior chimneys while taking in 360-degree views of Barcelona and the mountains was unforgettable. The period apartment recreation on the floor below adds wonderful context about how upper-class families lived when the building was new. We learned a few interesting details that Gaudí added for the comfort of the people that lived there. Ticket is expensive, but definitely worth it!
Definitely worth waking up early for! We were the first visitors on to the roof of La Pedrera and had the place to ourselves and uninterrupted views of Gaudí’s Barcelona! Brilliant and very knowledgeable guide. Excellent experience made even better by the lack of crowds. Highly recommend the sunrise tour.
Visit starts at 8:30 AM. 2 groups of 15-20 people, one in English, one in Chinese. Start of the visit was fine, but at 9 AM the casa opened to the public, making the guided visit incomprehensible and constantly interrupted by other groups. Tour taken with breakfast included. Avoid this, it is not a breakfast, just a choice between 3 sandwiches and coffee or tea, including for children… orange juice extra, croissant extra… €11.90 for the coffee and the ham sandwich...
Great information on the history of the house & so nice to get there 30m before they open for a less crowded experience
We did the sunrise tour which was particularly good time to visit before it got so busy. Our guide Nikos was friendly and informative. Lovely views from the rooftop
This is the experience, I'm glad I made it. We entered 8:30 with the guide, she very well, I have nothing to criticize regarding the guide, very friendly always and gave good information. The visit itself I did not like, fast and with MANY people who did not allow you to almost walk much less value what you were seeing. The building as such impressive yes very interesting but the visit itself is bad. They shouldn't let so many people in at the same time. They sell you the entrance at dawn as if it were something exclusive but immediately it is full of people and you can not even walk, that was my experience.
Go to the first tour of 830 to take advantage of the space with few people and can take pictures
We took with the family the tickets to visit La Pedrera and left very happy. You walk through several spaces of the building, see what the original homes were like and end up on the roof with all the views that is the most striking, everything is well explained and the staff is friendly during the tour
Gemma was knowledgable and patient. There was a mix up between trip advisor and Casa Mila team but Gemma made sure we could take the tour and sort it out afterwards.
I highly recommend the early morning access tour! Unlike the rest of the attractions we visited in Barcelona, we actually have photos of La Pedrera without tons of people blocking our view. We had a real person guiding the small-group tour (rather than a recorded audio-tour), so were able to ask questions and pause for pictures. It's not really a "sunrise" tour, but maybe thats for the best. If you're interested in Gaudi architecture, then this is a MUST!
