Kiyomizu-dera is one of Kyoto’s most iconic temples, founded in 778 and perched on a hillside with spectacular views of the city. Its famous wooden stage, built without nails, extends over a steep cliff and offers breathtaking views of cherry blossoms in spring and colorful leaves in autumn. The temple’s name means “Pure Water Temple,” and it’s home to the Otowa Waterfall, where visitors drink from three streams said to bring luck in health, love, and academics.

10 min

Ninen-zaka is a charming stone-paved slope leading to Kiyomizu Temple. Lined with traditional wooden townhouses, it has long been a bustling street for pilgrims and visitors.

The Kimono Forest, located at Arashiyama Station, features around 600 colorful poles wrapped in Kyoto’s traditional kimono fabric. It creates a beautiful path that looks like a forest of kimono.

Fully customized for you!

GREAT TOUR! Best part was it was tailored exactly to what YOU want, where YOU want, and when YOU want. Sho was so kind to even extend our time, provide recommendations for the remainder of our trip, and even made a dinner reservation for us in a highly sought after restaurant! 10/10 recommend! Book it - you won’t regret it!

Perfect Kyoto Experience with Sho T!

Sho T. gave us an absolutely perfect tour and was such a huge help throughout the entire day. He was incredibly enthusiastic and visitor-friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable and comfortable from start to finish. We visited major historical sites, had time to shop around, and got to experience Kyoto in such a fun and personalized way. He also took us to two delicious local spots for lunch and a snack! Sho was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely a fantastic guide. I would 10/10 recommend him to anyone looking to explore Kyoto. It was so worth the price for such a unique and specialized experience for my friend and me. I’ll definitely be recommending him to anyone I know visiting Kyoto!

Great tour of Kyoto

We had a really great tour with Kana that showed us the main highlights of Kyoto. The tour was a good mix of walking and bus/taxi routes, so the day wasn’t too busy either. Kana was super nice, explained us a lot and also gave us additional tips and recommendations. She also responded to individual wishes, we were also interested in a good tea shop and she showed us her favorite shop. We recommend the tour 100%.
