Kyoto One-day Taxi Tour by an Ivy Leaguer Guide & Photographer

Description
Your guide, Ai, is a Japanese government-certified English tour guide interpreter since 2015; an award-winning, magazine-covered photographer; and holds graduate degrees: MA in Japanese Pedagogy from Columbia U (Class of 2025) and MBA in tourism and hospitality management from Kyoto U (Class of 2020). After graduating from Columbia, she has taught Japanese language in higher education in the US. Ai: This is a private, customizable tour by a luxury chauffeur-driven limousine that will visit UNESCO World Heritage sights-KinkakuJi Temple (Golden Pavilion), Kiyomizu Temple, and Fushimi Inari Shrine (with thousands vermillion Torii gates). For lunch and/or dinner, I will arrange the top-notch Tempura or Kobe Beef restaurant in Gion. Since all transportations and entrance fees are included in the tour price, the only additional cost on the tour day would be your meals. Pick up and drop off at Kobe/Osaka Cruise Port, Kyoto Sta, and any hotels in Kyoto/Osaka/Kobe/Nara are available.
Tour Options
Itinerary
First, we will visit Golden Pavilion -a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is not only a temple but also a resort for the Shogun in the 14th century.
Bamboo forest and scenic Togetsu Bridge will be colored in each season's flavor-cherry blossoms in spring, fresh green in summer, autumn foliage in fall, and occasionally snowflakes in winter
Lunch
One of the most popular tourist destinations in Kyoto. We can enjoy walking through thousands of vermillion Torii gates.
Another UNESCO World Heritage site that we cover during the tour. The East Hills Side is close to the famous Gion, Maiko and Geisha district, therefore we can stroll around typical Kyotoite streets in the evening.

Very nice tour around Kyoto for first-time visitors in Japan. Big plus for the photographic talent and the suggestion for visiting one of the best tempura restaurants in town.
Ai is an excellent tour guide. We had great conversations with her about Japanese culture as well as the significance of the locations we were visiting with her. This tour is great because it gives you the flexibility to select your own locations and travel with Ai, who is an experienced guide. She provided all the historical and cultural context for each location. She also took amazing candid photos of my family at Nara Park, which I will treasure. So she is an excellent photographer on top of being an excellent tour guide! We enjoyed her knowledge and expertise as much as we enjoyed her company on this tour!
