Such an incredible experience! Both the tea ceremony and the temple tour were so interesting. And Mari and Koyuki were so kind and so knowledgeable. They answered all our questions and took so many great photos of us.

Our tour guide Koyuki was wonderful. The tour itself was amazing. Koyuki explained the history of the Shogun monk and the Temple. The tea ceremony was another amazing experience. Love the Matcha tea
Thank you so much for your kind review! I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour and the tea ceremony. It was a pleasure sharing the history with you. Koyuki
Superb tour with Koyuki san leading the way. The meet-up was so easy with the exact spot and time sent by WhatsApp and email via GetYourGuide, plenty of gentle reminders and confidence building communication. The tour was very comfortably paced, periodic photos and short videos taken by Koyuki san who's got a great photographer eye, and her English is fantastic. Then an easy transfer to the tea ceremony in a charming residential area of Kyoto with Kumi san hosting and teaching the tea ceremony in an approachable manner in a lovely tea room, demonstrating and then letting us whisk and make the tea! Also a great English speaker! A fun time overall, I highly recommend this tour! Daniel
Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re so happy to hear that you had a great time with us. We hope you’ll enjoy the tea from the tea house when you have it at home too! Koyuki
I had the chance to experience matcha. I was able to experience something extraordinary. Located in a very Kyoto back alley, the atmosphere of the shop was very good. The owner is young and handsome.
One of the best experiences we had while in Japan. The owners were so nice, greeting us on the street when we arrived. Made sure we had a pleasant experience from the greeting on the street until the last sip of our tea. Explained the history of tea ceremonies and mocha tea, how it’s grown and processed. Lovely experience and highly recommended. A must when visiting Kyoto. Especially if you want a more personal and intimate experience without the overcrowding group experience.
